Welcome to the WRC Summer Classic!

Come and enjoy Whistler and the Whistler Racket Club for the weekend! (www.mywrc.ca)

WRC is a full service facility with 4 dedicated outdoor PB courts with bleachers and 10 indoor multi-lined courts with tennis surface. The Courtside Cafe will be open all weekend for food & beverage- come and enjoy our licensed bleachers and viewing area!

Rainout: In the event of inclement weather play will move indoors (10 courts) and we will adjust the formats as necessary.

Registration is $50 and $20 for additional events. Registration includes access to the WRC facilities all weekend, snacks, water, gatorade, live music Friday, DJ & Dancing Social Saturday and social Play Friday.

Junior event on Friday- bring your kids/grand parents!

Seniors event on Friday- No official age, but target is 70+. Designed as a category for those that prefer less aggressive play.

There will be a fun social play/practice on Friday evening (included with registration)

Format:

Fri Aug 26: Seniors, Singles, Juniors & Social Play

Sat Aug 27: Mens & Womens Doubles (3.0-4.0+)

Sun Aug 28: Mixed Doubles (3.0-4.0+)

All events will start with Round Robins (games to 11) to ascertain seeding then will proceed to a double elimination knockout draw. Games to 15 on the winners side, 11 on the losers side. All medal matches best 2 out of 3. Losers DO NOT feed back up to winners bracket.

Guaranteed 5 matches.

**4.5 draws have been merged with 4.0 to create 4.0+. We will give out 2 sets of medals!

In the 4.0 Events:

Winners Bracket: 1st and 2nd place will win the 4.5 Gold & Silver (no 4.5 Bronze)

Losers Bracket: 1st, 2nd and 3rd will win 4.0 Gold, Silver & Bronze

So if you lose in the Winners Brackets you can still go for 4.0 Gold!

We will add a 4.0 Bronze medal match for the losers in the semis finals in the Losers Bracket

Refunds will be given prior to registration deadline less a $15 admin fee.

After registration deadline any withdrawals are non-refundable.
