Players International Management (PIM), organizers of the World Pickleball Series and the YellowTennisBall.com Series of over 25 state, national and international USTA and ITF events, is excited to host the 4th anniversary of the WORLD PICKLEBALL OPEN (WPO) presented by Kolter Homes & HSS Florida.

The event, held November 16 - 18, 2023 at Palm Beach Gardens Tennis & Pickleball Center (5110 117th Court North, Palm Beach Gardens, FL 33418) INCLUDES ALL LEVELS OF PLAY and will include a 30-minute televised show aired on Amazon PickleTV!

Thu., Nov. 16 – Sunday, Nov. 19. Match Play (Pro and Amateur Divisions)... Spectator admission is FREE.

- We are hosting a Holiday Toy Drive, and if able, please bring a brand new toy to the Tournament Desk as all items will be donated to local hospitals – thank you!

- Please check in for your matches at least 30 minutes early to fill out event paperwork.

- Warm-up courts: Available one hour before the first matches of the day (match schedule posted few days prior to event), possibly 1-2 thereafter.

FORMAT OF PLAY: Event has the right to combine divisions and/or alter format based on amount of players/teams registered and/or if any weather issues arise.

Double Elimination:

- All players will have the ability to play for the Gold Medal match thru the consolation bracket.

- All players are guaranteed two ( 2 ) matches.

- All matches in the "Main Draw" will be 2 out of 3 games to 11; winning by 2 points; all matches in the "Consolation Draw" will be one game to 15 - winning by 2 points. Medal rounds will be 2 out of 3 games to 11 win by 2.

Doubles:

- 4 or 5 team brackets will play a round robin format; 2 out of 3 games to 11, win by 2 points

- 3 or fewer teams will be combined brackets

Singles:

- 5+ player brackets will play double elimination 2 out of 3 games to 11, win by 2 points.

- 4 player brackets will play a round robin format; 2 out of 3 games to 11, win by 2 points;

- 3 or fewer players will be combined brackets

If your event is a round robin format - THERE WILL BE NO PLAYOFFS

IMPORTANT SCHEDULE CHANGE

Withdrawals:

* Full Refund (less a processing fee of up to $25) if withdraw is completed by 10/15/23... No refunds thereafter.

* Waitlisted ONLY players will not be charged a processing fee and may remain on the waitlist throughout the duration of the tournament

* There will be no refunds for events that are cancelled due to inclement weather or any other unforeseen event.

** Refunds will be issued after registration closes for those players who have a credit balance. Refunds will be processed as a credit to the original form of payment where possible. Refunds will be processed after the tournament has ended, by 14 days following the tournament, for players who did not get off the waitlist.

Partner Replacement Policy:

Any registered player losing a partner must replace that partner with an already registered player. The replacement must be in the same skill/age group that you are scheduled to play. Keep in mind as you search for a replacement that players may play down in age and up in skill. Replacements need to be known and communicated to andrew.dehennis@outlook.com by 6 p.m. the day before you are scheduled to play. Any request for replacements coming in after 6 p.m. the day before you are scheduled to play will be reviewed by the Tournament Director for approval. Replacements can be found on the players needing partners list, at the bottom of the main welcome page!

Weather: Competitions will be conducted unless event staff determines the weather conditions to be potentially dangerous, life threatening or if the facility would incur significant damage. There will be no cash refunds for cancelled events due to weather, unless a Weather Insurance Form is purchased.
