Welcome to the Southern Pickleball Association's Wild Monkeys Cherokee Open. The tournament will be held at Kenny Askew Park located at 1080 Univerter Rd, Canton, GA 30115.
The schedule is as follows:
Saturday April 29th Mens & Womens Doubles
Sunday April 30th Mixed Doubles.
Competition each day may begin as early as 8:00 AM. Specific start times for each event will be posted and emailed to players approximately one week prior to the event.
Format is Round Robin with medal matches to follow brackets with 4 teams or more.
As registration proceeds, tournament management reserves the option to combine brackets as needed if brackets do not fill. Brackets will be combined by age if possible to avoid combining skills. Tournament management also reserves the right to convert brackets to double elimination if necessary.
Skills levels include 2.5 (Recreational),3.0, 3.5, 4.0, 4.5+
Age groups will be split after registration is completed.
A team must play at the skill level of the higher rated player (or higher) and the age group of the younger player. Age is calculated as of 12/31/2021.
RATINGS
- Pickleballbrackets ratings will be used.
- For new players with no rating, the PickleballBrackets.com self rating will be used.
- Players who do not have a PickleballBrackets.com rating but do have an official USAPA UTPR ratings MUST self rate using their UTPR rating.
-Players with a UTPR that is higher than their Pickleballbracket calculated tournament rating may be moved to the higher level at the discretion of the tournament director.

You may register and identify your partner or request "Need partner". Selecting that you "need a partner" allows other players to see that you are available to play in the tournament. We do our best to introduce players that need partners, but this selection does not mean that the tournament will find a partner for you. It is still your responsibility to find a partner.
There are no referees. Matches are self-monitored. If a referee is requested, we will do our best to provide one.
Registration fee is $55 and includes one event. Participants may play in up to 2 events as long as the events take place on different days. Participants must also be a member of the Georgia Pickleball Association (GPA). A $5 event fee is charged by the tournament hosting site for each event played.
