Tournament Description
Welcome to the Wellington Pickleball Cup 2024. As with previous editions of the Cup, you will be playing for your region as well as yourself. Let the battle begin!
Fri 2 Feb:
- singles competition (male & female open) starts at 4pm
- medals awarded at close of play
Sat 3 Feb:
- doubles competition (male & female open / seniors / B grade) starts at 8am
- medals awarded at close of play
- Cup dinner from 7pm
Sun 4 Feb:
- mixed doubles competition (open, seniors and B grade) starts at 8am
- medals and Cup awarded at close of play.
Additional Information
Fees:
- Registration fee = $40 per person (pp)
- Event fee = $20 per event pp
- Service fee = $8.60 per event pp
Facilities:
- Akau Tangi Sports Centre was previously known as the ASB Centre
- There are toilets, showers and changing rooms available on site, plus wi-fi and drinking fountains
- There is plenty of free parking available at the venue., and there will be a grandstand for spectators
Officiating:
- With the exception of medal matches, all games will be self-refereed
- We will be using the Official USA Pickleball Rulebook, available https://usapickleball.org/what-is-pickleball/official-rules/
- Please make sure that you are playing with a USAPA approved paddle. If unsure, check out https://equipment.usapickleball.org/paddle-list/
Refund Policy
Tournament fees are refundable until registration closes, with the exception of Service fee (payable to PickleballBrackets).
