Welcome to the Welland Open played at the gorgeous Empire Sportsplex. This is the last chance to qualify for the Tour Championship being held in September.

Played Friday September 6 through Sunday September 8 this will be a round robin tournament with single elimination playoff round. Open events with 6 or more teams will be played as a double elimination bracket and will have a higher event fee with prize money.

Friday will be senior division Men's and Women's doubles. Saturday will be Mixed Doubles all categories, and Sunday will be men's and women's doubles under 50.

Play will be with the Franklin X40 ball, the official ball of the True North Pickleball Tour.

This tournament will not be sanctioned but will follow the official rules of pickleball, all paddles must be on the USAP approved paddle list.

We will ref as many matches as possible with a focus on medal matches

This is an outdoor event, and as such, subject to the weather. We will do everything in our power to complete all events. In the event of a weather cancellation you will receive a 50% refund of tournament fees. If you are able to play one of two or three events you will be refunded the event fees of unplayed events only.

If you are competing in the senior events on Friday you are also able to play down in age on the Sunday.

Refunds available up to August 31, 2024 minus a $10 admin fee. No refunds after August 31 for any reason, including illness, injury and unforeseen circumstances. Please see tournament description for weather policy.
