Date: Saturday 7th September

Start time: 8.45am Briefing, games start 9:00am - expect to finish before 6pm.

Events: Mens, Womens and Mixed Doubles.

Format: Round robin pool rounds, followed by playoff rounds.

Time Table: Morning session: Mens and Womens doubles start at 9AM

Afternoon: Mixed doubles will start approximately 1pm

Prize giving: At the completion of the tournament

Lunch: Bring your own, no food outlets onsite. Tea/Coffee biscuits and cake will be supplied.

Eligibility: Your DUPR rating must be 3.6 or below at time of entry. This may be your first tournament in which case you won't have a DUPR rating yet which is fine. This tournament is aimed at intermediate to high intermediate REC players. You'll have a DUPR rating after playing in this event.

Please contact us if your DUPR is higher than 3.6 but your partner is below 3.5. We will consider on a case by case basis.

If your DUPR is higher than 3.6 and you have very few recorded games or from a long time ago, we will also consider this on a case by case basis.

We want to avoid sandbagging i.e two 3.75 players who play tournaments on a regular basis, this is not the tournament for you.

Once registered on DUPR find 'Wanaka Pickleball' by clicking the 'club' tab and using the search. Once you’ve found Wanaka Pickleball, click 'request to join'.

Partners: No partner? Register and put partner wanted. You can contact others who have listed partner wanted and we can also help match players with partners. If you’re keen to play register. Don't wait until you have found a partner, or you may miss out.

Cost of registration: $25 which includes first event, +$10 for second event, plus pickleball brackets fee of $8 per event.

Registration closes: 31 August 2024, 10pm

Tournament fees are refundable until registration closes, with the exception of Service fee (payable to PickleballBrackets).

Indoor courts

Health and Safety is players responsibility. You need to agree to a health and safety liability waiver as part of the registration process. A health and safety briefing will be provided at the start of the tournament as part of the players' briefing.
