Welcome to our first Wanaka Invitational Pickleball Event. We recommend making a weekend of it to enjoy the lake and surrounds.

Date: Saturday 21st September

Start time: 8.45am Briefing, games start 9:00am - expect to finish around 6pm

Events: Mens, Womens and Mixed Doubles.

Format: Round robin pool rounds, followed by playoffs.

Time Table: Morning session: Mens and Womens doubles start at 9AM

Afternoon: Mixed doubles will start approximately 2pm

Prize giving: At the completion of the tournament

Lunch: Bring your own, no food outlets onsite. Tea/Coffee biscuits and cake will be supplied.

Eligibility: This is an invite only event for 3.5+ players who will be invited at the discretion of regional organisers.

When registering, please register for both gender and mixed. It is mandatory to be available for both events, and therefore to play in both events- so one must be available for the whole day. This is because the limited field is fixed and the numbers need to match up.

We're also hosting an open tournament on 7th September for players 3.5 and below.

Once registrations are closed we may at our discretion split teams into A & B grades.

DUPR: It is a prerequisite that all players are registered on DUPR as all scores will be recorded on DUPR. Register here: https://mydupr.com

Once registered on DUPR find 'Wanaka Pickleball' by clicking the 'club' tab and using the search. Once you’ve found Wanaka Pickleball, click 'request to join'.

No partner? Register and put partner wanted. You can contact others who have listed partner wanted and we can also help match players with partners. If you’re keen to play register so you don't miss out.

Cost of registration: $25 which includes first event, +$15 for second event

There are toilets, showers and changing rooms available on site, water filling stations on site.

Heated pool is also available onsite.

There is plenty of free parking available at the venue and there is a grandstand for spectators.

We will have the heating on at a favorable temperature.

We recommend booking accommodation as soon as possible as Wanaka is a popular destination to visit.

Games will be self scored. We will be using Official USA Pickleball Rules.

Tournament fees are refundable until registration closes, with the exception of Service fee (payable to PickleballBrackets).

Indoor courts, REC centre is heated.

Health and Safety is players responsibility. You need to agree to a health and safety liability waiver as part of the registration process. A health and safety briefing will be provided at the start of the tournament as part of the players' briefing.
