LFG Tourneys welcomes you to The Turkey Takedown!! This tournament will be held at the BRAND NEW Dill Dinkers in Cockeysville, Maryland on November 16 and 17, 2024, which features 9 regulation Pro-Cushion Pickleball courts with fences. You will have the opportunity to play doubles, mixed doubles, and split age anything goes with skill levels ranging from 3.0-4.5+ with prize money for the 4.5+/Open and Senior Open divisions. Total prize money depends on total number of entrants in 4.5+/Open divisions. There will be great raffles and prizes!! Join us for a fun and competitive tournament!!

**Additionally, LFG Tourneys will be donating a portion of proceeds to Disabled American Veterans charity (www.dav.org). We will donate $500 for 150 players registered, $1000 for 200 players registered, $1500 for 250 players registered, and $2250 for 300+ registrants!**

* Saturday, November 16th will be all AMATUER levels MEN'S DOUBLES and WOMEN'S DOUBLES, as well as OPEN/PRO Gender Doubles and OPEN/SENIOR PRO (50+ yrs old) Gender Doubles.

* Sunday, November 17th will be all AMATUER levels MIXED DOUBLES, as well as OPEN/PRO Mixed $$ and OPEN/SENIOR PRO Mixed $$ (50+ yrs old). Additionally, Split Age Anything Goes 3.0-4.0 will be held that same evening.

The format for AMATEUR events will be round robin with top teams from each pool advancing to playoffs. Each team will be guaranteed more than 3+ games. Pools and the number of teams in each pool will be determined based on how many teams are in the given event.

OPEN/Pro events will be double elimination brackets - best 2 out of three games to 11 in the winner's bracket and one game to 15 in the consolation bracket. Teams in the consolation bracket can come-around and have the opportunity to make it to the gold medal match if they advance all the way through the consolation bracket.

**Tournament Directors have the right to make changes to format, adjust age brackets, or other items if needed.

No Gen 3 Joolas. The Joola 3s are acceptable.

* The Tournament Directors will submit results to DUPR.

Bonus - pklmart will be on site Saturday and Sunday and will provide match analysis for many of the players, depending on bracket size and match location.

Our event is indoor and not subject to weather conditions. If you are registered and paid, we anticipate your attendance. In the event that a bracket does not have sufficient teams, the Tournament Director reserves the right to combine brackets by level and/or age. Brackets may be combined if not enough teams are signed up in a given event. Age groups within the same skill level would be combined first. If necessary, Skill levels may be combined.

Skill level used to determine which level events you can play in will be based on DUPR rating. If player does not have DUPR rating, self-rating from Player Prolife will be used. Players are responsible to self-rate at a skill level that is NOT lower than their DUPR or UTPR rating. Players may play in a skill level higher than their rating. Players may not play in a skill level that is lower than their rating.

Start times will not be announced until registration closes. We do this because the number of signups for each event will determine when we can start each bracket. We need to know the final number of entrants for each event in order to determine the most efficient start times to keep the day running as smoothly as possible. Start times will be released one to two days after registration closes and may be subject to change due to any unforeseen circumstances.

Water and snacks will be available to players.

NOTE - We ask that you start a DUPR account if you do not already have one. We also ask that all players join the LFG Tourneys "club" in your Dupr account. This is not required, but appreciated :)

You must show a photo ID with your birthdate to check-in. Please check-in a minimum of 30 minutes prior to your event start time each day that you play. If the tournament is running early, your event can start up to 30 minutes before the scheduled start time.

GENERAL RULES

* 2024 USA Pickleball Rules will apply.

* Team Age bracket will be determined by the age of the youngest partner. Age as of 12/31/2024.

* Team Skill level will be determined by the highest skill level of the player on the team.

Core and/or Dura Outdoor balls - Amateur events

Refunds (minus a $30 to $35 fee [$25 fee plus $5 or $10 Pickleball Bracket event fee] depending on how many events you are withdrawing from) will be allowed until October 16, 2024 (one month prior). After that date, no refunds will be given for any reason.

*In situations of player swap, the new partner will need to pay the registration and event fee prior to issuing a refund to the withdrawing partner. A refund to the withdrawn partner will be issued (minus a $30 to $35 fee [$25 fee plus $5 or $10 Pickleball Bracket event fee] depending on how many events you are withdrawing from).

* Note - PickleballBrackets.com charges a separate administration fee at checkout that is non-refundable at any time if you are placed into an event.

For 4.5+ open $$ events $50 from each entrant's event fee will go towards prize money for that event. Payouts for each event will be split as follows. Gold medalists get 60%, silver medalists get 25%, bronze medalists get 15%.

For example, if there are 25 teams in men's doubles open, that is 50 total players. The total prize money for that event would be 50 x $50=$2500. The team who wins gold would be paid out $1,500, Silver would be paid out $625.00, and Bronze would be paid out $375.00.
