Performance Pickleball RVA invites you to kick off the 2025 Atlantic Union Bank Performance Series at our first major tournament of the New Year!

As the year winds down on the maiden voyage of our flagship facility in Richmond, VA, we prepare to embark on our second year and do so in a big way with The Pickleball Resolution! Come help us celebrate and ring in the New Year and see what's new in 2025!

Introducing the Atlantic Union Bank Performance Series!
We've partnered with Atlantic Union Bank to bring you the Atlantic Union Bank Performance Series, a series of major tournaments run by Performance Pickleball at both indoor and outdoor venues throughout the year.
Participate, play and place on the podium in each of the Atlantic Union Bank Performance Series tournaments and earn Atlantic Union Bank Challenge standings points! We will award money/cash prizes to the Top 3 Men's & Women's points standings finishers at the end of the year at the Atlantic Union Bank Open. Are you up to the Challenge? Tournament Info:
This tournament will be held at the premier Performance Pickleball RVA indoor pickleball facility in Henrico, VA. There will be Skill & Age Divisions in Men's and Women's Singles, Men's and Women's Doubles, and Mixed Doubles in addition to Wheelchair and Junior/Youth Coed Divisions.
Age Divisions:
Junior/Youth, 19+, 30+, 40+, 50+, 60+
(minimum age to participate is 12; please contact us for exceptions)
Skill Divisions:
3.0, 3.5, 4.0, 4.5, 5.0 (35+ & 50+ only), Open
The tournament will also feature Open Divisions within each of the Men's, Women's and Mixed events with Prize Money awarded to the Top 3 teams/players in each Open Division event. Medal matches in the Open Divisions will be livestreamed and broadcasted each day on the Performance Pickleball YouTube page.
Matches will take place on 12 state-of-the-art dedicated indoor pickleball courts at Performance Pickleball RVA. Medals will be awarded to the Top 3 teams/players in each bracket.

Tournament Fees:
Registration is $45 during the Early Registration period which ends on Saturday 11/30/24. Registration will be $55 starting on Sunday 12/1/24.
The registration fee is per player and includes a free tournament t-shirt and other tournament sponsor giveaways. Please be sure to indicate your shirt size during the registration process. Late or last-minute registrants may not be guaranteed a t-shirt and/or desired shirt size, so be sure to sign up early!
Event fees are $15 per event for all Skill & Age events and $30 per event for all Open Division events. There will also be a Pickleball Brackets non-refundable service fee of $5 per event or a maximum of $10 when registering for 2 or more events.
For doubles events, priority will be given to teams that have both partners registered. Teams with only one partner registered and teams with no designated partner will be waitlisted. To secure your spot in a doubles bracket, please make sure that both you and your partner are registered.

Rules & Format:
This is a non-sanctioned tournament, but we will be following USAP 2025 rules.
All Skill & Age brackets will be Round Robin with a Single Elimination bracket round and/or Medal matches to be played immediately following the completion of Round Robin play.
Round Robin matches will be either best 2/3 games to 11 win by 2 or 1 game to 15 win by 2 or 1 game to 11 win by 2 depending on the size of the bracket and/or pools. Gold Medal matches will be best 2/3 games to 11 win by 2. Bronze Medal matches will be best 2/3 games to 11 win by 2 or 1 game to 15 win by 2.
Open Division brackets will be Double Elimination. Double Elimination bracket matches will be best 2/3 games to 11 win by 2 in the Winners' Bracket and 1 game to 15 win by 2 in the Consolation Bracket. Teams/players in the Consolation Bracket will have a chance to advance back into the medal rounds. Gold Medal matches will be best 2/3 games to 11 win by 2 with a Tiebreaker match, if necessary, being 1 game to 15 win by 2. Bronze Medal matches will be 1 game to 15 win by 2.
Adaptive / Wheelchair / Para Divisions:
All Adaptive/Wheelchair/Para Divisions will be coed, meaning that doubles teams may consist of any combination of men's, women's or mixed pairings. Likewise, the singles bracket will consist of both men's and women's players.
The Wheelchair Coed Singles and the Wheelchair Coed Doubles divisions will consist of teams of all wheelchair players. The Para-Standing Coed Doubles division will consist of teams of two standing para pickleball players.
Junior / Youth Division:
The Junior/Youth Division will be a Coed Doubles Scramble format, meaning that players register and sign up individually and will be mixed and paired up with other players for the tournament. Coed doubles teams may consist of any combination of boys, girls or mixed pairings.
Minimum age for participation is 10 and maximum age is 17; for any ages under 10, please contact us for approval. If there are enough sign-ups, we may be able to split the division further into different age and/or skill groups.
DUPR Ratings:
The rating used for this tournament will be DUPR and all match scores and results will be automatically entered into DUPR. Please be sure to connect your DUPR account to your Pickleball Brackets account to ensure reporting accuracy.

Notice:
Skill & Age groups may be combined at the discretion of the Tournament Director to create brackets as needed based on the number of registered teams/players. The Tournament Director also reserves the right to adjust the bracket and match formats as necessary.
Refund Policy
The Cancellation Deadline is Sunday 12/29/24. Full refunds less the Pickleball Brackets non-refundable service fees will be given through this date. After this date, there will be no refunds for cancellations or withdrawals. For any extenuating circumstances or situations, please contact the Tournament Director for approval.
Prize Money
Prize Money Pool up to $10,000! Prize Money will be awarded to the Top 3 teams/players in each of the Open Division events. Payout amounts and distribution will be based upon final bracket sizes.

Handicap parking available by the front and side/delivery entrances. The ramp to the sidewalk is located by the side/delivery entrance, which is available for handicap use.
Weather
This tournament will be held indoors at Performance Pickleball RVA and will go on rain, snow or shine! We will keep everyone posted in case of inclement or severe weather.
