Tournament Description
Welcome to the 5th Annual Thailand Open International Pickleball Tournament!
We’re excited to announce the 2025 Thailand Open, taking place from January 22-26, 2025, in the picturesque seaside town of Hua Hin, Thailand. This tournament offers a perfect opportunity for players to showcase their skills, compete, and enjoy the welcoming pickleball community.
Last year’s tournament saw over 330 participants from 17 countries, and we expect another fantastic turnout this year.

Back by popular demand, the Team Competition, which was a huge hit in 2024, returns for another exciting round of friendly but competitive play on Saturday afternoon.
As part of the tournament, we invite all participants to join us for a Welcome Reception Thai Evening on Wednesday, where you can enjoy traditional Thai food and hospitality. The tournament will conclude with a Farewell Party on Sunday, offering a chance to celebrate and reflect on an exciting week of pickleball.
Why Hua Hin? Hua Hin is a beautiful coastal town, famous for its sandy beaches, lively markets, and relaxed atmosphere. It’s the perfect backdrop for the tournament, with plenty of opportunities to explore and enjoy Thailand’s rich culture after a great day of pickleball.

Important Note:
Players are allowed to register for only one event per time slot. A time slot refers to either morning, early afternoon, or evening. For example, you can register for one event in the morning and another in the early afternoon, but not for two events in the morning. If a player registers for more than one event within the same time slot, we will be required to remove those registrations.

Team Competition (Saturday late afternoon):
While full teams from a country or club are highly encouraged, individual players are also welcome. If you or your team are interested in participating, please send an email to pickleballhuahin@gmail.com. Full teams should confirm their participation, and individual players without a team can express their willingness to join the team event. We will do our best to match you with teammates. It’s a fantastic opportunity to meet and play with new friends!
There will be two categories for the team competition:
- 3.5 and under
- Above 3.5
- 3.5 and under

Teams consist of 4 players per match—2 women and 2 men—from a squad of up to 6 players.

Rally scoring will be used, with the first team to reach 21 points, similar to MLP (Major League Pickleball) style play. In the event of a tie, the Dreambreaker will be used to determine the match winner.
Refund Policy
Full Refunds:
Participants may request a full refund of their registration fee, minus the service fee, if the request is submitted by January 13th, 2025.

Event Cancellation:
In the unlikely event that Hua Hin International Pickleball Club cancels the tournament, participants will be entitled to a full refund of their registration fees, excluding the service fee.
Hua Hin International Pickleball Club is not responsible for any additional costs incurred by participants, such as travel or accommodation expenses, in the event of a cancellation.

Prize Money
Prize Money is available for OPEN categories only at 19+, 35+, 50+, and 60+.
A minimum of 16 teams is required in the Open Prize Money Divisions to award the full prize money.
If there are fewer than 16 teams, the prize money will be reduced proportionally based on the number of teams.
