LFG Tourneys and Copper Union are excited to announce the SUMMER SLAM PICKLEBALL TOURNAMENT at Copper Union Mount Washington in Baltimore, Maryland!! The tournament will be held on Saturday June 28th and Sunday June 29, 2025. You will have the opportunity to play Gender Doubles, Mixed Doubles, and Split Age Anything Goes with skill levels ranging from 3.0-4.5+ with prize money for the 4.5+/Open and Senior Open divisions. Join us for a fun and competitive summer tournament!!

This will be an outdoor tournament with 8 designated Pickleball courts. This will be a Pickleball Experience Not To Miss!!!

**Copper Union and LFG Tourneys Invite Players to start off the tournament weekend on Friday June 27th with FRIDAY NIGHT LIGHTS OPEN PLAY from 5pm-10pm!! This will be free for registered players and players will receive 20% off food and beverages that night as well!

* Saturday, June 28th will be all levels MEN'S DOUBLES, and WOMEN'S DOUBLES, including $PRO and $SENIOR PRO.

* Sunday, June 29th will be all levels MIXED DOUBLES, including $PRO and $SENIOR PRO as well as SPLIT AGE ANYTHING GOES 3.0-4.0

FORMAT -

* Amateur Men's, Women's, and Mixed Doubles events will have 10+ and 50+ age brackets and skill levels of 3.0, 3.5, 4.0, and 4.5. These events will be in a Round-Robin format. Each Round-Robin will have pools varying in size, depending on registrants. Games will be to 15 points, win by 2 points. The top couple teams from each pool will compete in a playoff. No come around. Bronze with be games to 15, win by 2. Gold will be best 2 out of three.

*We will have $$ payouts for our OPEN/PRO and SENIOR OPEN events! These events will be Double Elimination, best two out of three. Consolation bracket games to 15, win by 2. Bronze and Gold matches will be best two out of three.

~ LFG!! - $45.00 from 3/19/2025 - 3/31/2025.

~ SUMMER! - $50.00 from 4/1/2025 - 4/30/2025.

~ SLAM! - $55.00 from 5/1/2025 - 5/31/2025.

~ PICKLE TIME! - $60 from 6/1/2025 - 6/21/2025.

Each General Event Fee - $15.00 each Open Event Fee - $60.00 each

**Tournament Directors have the right to make changes to format, adjust age brackets, or other items if needed.

* Medals awarded to 1st, 2nd and 3rd place teams.

* Scores are entered into DUPR.

* General Event 3.0-4.5 playoffs (including bronze medal matches) will be one game to 15 points, win by 2 points. Gold matches will be best 2 out of 3.

* Open Events - Double Elim, best 2 out of 3. Consolation brackets game to 15, win by 2. Medal matches best two out of three.

Your DUPR rating will be used to determine which skill level you may play in. If player does not have DUPR rating, player's pickleball brackets rating will be used. If players do not have a DUPR rating or pickleball brackets rating, players self-rating will be used from their pickleball brackets profile. Players are responsible to self-rate at a skill level that is NOT lower than their actual skill level. Players may play in a skill level higher than their rating. Players may not play in a skill level that is lower than their rating.

Start times will not be announced until registration closes. We do this because the number of signups for each event will determine when we can start each bracket. We need to know the final number of entrants for each event in order to determine the most efficient start times to keep the day running as smoothly as possible. Start times will be released one to two days after registration closes and may be subject to change due to any unforeseen circumstances.

NOTE - We ask that you start a DUPR account if you do not already have one. We also ask that all players join the LFG Tourneys "club" in your DUPR account. This is not required, but appreciated :)

You must show a photo ID with your birthdate to check-in. Please check-in a minimum of 30 minutes prior to your event start time each day that you play. If the tournament is running early, your event can start up to 30 minutes before the scheduled start time.

GENERAL RULES

* 2025 USAP Pickleball Rules will apply. *

*Just as the USAP rules state -we will be allowing the Joola MOD TA-15 and the Gearbox Pro Power paddles until July 1, 2025. No currently banned paddles.

* Team Age bracket will be determined by the age of the youngest partner. Age as of 12/31/2025.

* Team Skill level will be determined by the highest skill level of the player on the team.

*Full Refunds will be allowed until May 28, 2025 (one month prior), minus the pickleball brackets service fee. Pickleball Brackets charges a $5 service fee for one event, and $10 service fee for two or more events off the top during checkout.

** 50% refunds up until a week before the tournament starts (June 21, 2025).

*** No refunds after June 21, 2025.

*In situations of player swap, the new partner will need to pay the registration and event fee prior to issuing a refund to the withdrawing partner. A refund to the withdrawn partner will be issued (minus a $30 to $35 fee [$25 fee plus $5 or $10 Pickleball Bracket event fee] depending on how many events you are withdrawing from).

* Note - PickleballBrackets.com charges a separate administration fee at checkout that is non-refundable at any time if you are placed into an event.

**For 4.5+ OPEN $$ events - GOLD will pay out $1000, SILVER $500, and BRONZE $300 (minimum 8 teams in each event).**

** For 4.5+ OPEN $$ events with less than 8 teams, GOLD payout $500, SILVER $300, and BRONZE $200.

** For 4.5+ OPEN$$ Singles - GOLD will pay out $500, Silver $300, and Bronze $200 (minimum 8 players)

**For SENIOR OPEN/PRO events - prize money will be 100% of event fees (60% gold, 30% silver, 10% bronze).**

This is an outdoor tournament. In the event of inclement weather, we will do our best to play the matches while prioritizing the safety of the players.

If we have to cancel the event due to weather, the tournament rain date will be AUGUST 23-24, 2025.
