On Setpember 21st, 2019, Pickleball Hamilton is bringing back the Steel Town Showdown!

This is an outdoor event taking place on our 6 beautiful courts located at the Hill Park Recreation Centre at 305 South Bend Road E. in Hamilton, ON. Proceeds will go to support the Ronald McDonald House Charities - South Central Ontario! Medals will be awarded to the top 3 teams in each division.

$50CDN/Registration Per Player includes 1 Event with each additional events being $5. Maximum of 2 events. A tax receipt of $25 will be issued.

This tournament features 12 brackets - Men's, Women's and Mixed brackets at the 2.5-3.0, 3.5, 4.0 and 4.5+ skill levels. All brackets are 18+, open age. Round robin format (1st to 15, win by 2) followed by the Playoffs with all medal matches being best 2 of 3 (1st to 11, win by 2). Medal matches will be reffed.

Please bring yor own chair, water and food.

Please read all information provided before coming. There will be no opening ceremonies. Ladies doubles will start immediately at 8 am followed by Mixed mid day and then Men's doubles.

Partners will not be sought or assigned by the tournament, you will have to select your own partner. Players needing a partner will be shown on this website by event.

The tournament directors reserve the right to combine brackets and change format depending on registration and time allotment on the day of the tournament. The tournament committee reserves the right to place players in their appropriate skill level category. Minimum number of teams to run the event is 4. Tournament Director has the right to adjust the number.

Registration Info: Although you register online, your registration is not complete until you mark your registration complete, and your payment has been received.

Online Tournament registration is required, no paper forms.

Your registration is not complete the until waiver is electronically signed and fees are paid Each player must complete their registration online.

In the case of wait lists, in doubles events - teams will take priority over individuals. Our goal is to accommodate as many people as the schedule will allow - but at the same time have a well-rounded tournament with representation from all skill levels.

Schedule: Event is designed as a full day tournament – Registration/Check-in will be open at 7:00 AM. Games may start each day as early as 8:00 am and may finish as late as 7:00 pm based on participation numbers/draw format per each category – the official schedule to be released prior to tournament. Presentation ceremony for winners in each category will take place approximately 15 minutes after the completion of each category.

Venue Info: Please bring your own chair. No locker rooms or lockers. Port-a-potty's on-site for bathroom use. Parking lots available and street parking available if all lots full.

If the tournament is rained out, there will be NO refunds. If the event is rained out, al the proceeds will go to Ronald McDonald House - South Central Chapter

Cancellation Policy: Cancellations made after registration closes (September 7 - 11:59PM) are non-refundable.

Exceptions to the Refund Policy:

Entry fees may be transferred to a replacement player at any time up through the morning of the event.
