SPRING LAUNCH 2023

The Surrey Pickleball Club's 2023 Season is about to begin!! We hope you can join us at our Spring Launch fun, social tournament!! The Spring Launch will have a nominal fee for Surrey Pickleball Club (SPC) members in good standing.

All registrants must be current members of Pickleball Canada & Surrey Pickleball Club to play in this tournament. To join or renew your memberships please visit the following sites:

If you are a fully-paid SPC member and have indicated you are a member of the Surrey Pickleball Club in Pickleball Brackets, you should be able to sign up for the tournament. If you are having trouble, please email springlaunch@surreypickleball.com

Format: Round robin, Co-Ed Doubles Scramble grouped in 7 brackets as follows: 2.0 / 2.5 / 3.0 / 3.5 / 4.0 / 4.5 and 5.0 . You do not need to register with a partner. Registrants will play with different partners, regardless of gender for each game. Round-robin games will go to 9 points, win by one, this will allow more opportunities to meet new people and play more games.

After pool play, the top three women and top three men will play off in a single-elimination mixed doubles medal round. Prizes will be awarded to the top 3 women and top 3 men in each bracket.

Registration opens March 27, 2023, at 9:00 a.m.

Registration closes April 21, 2023, at 9:00 p.m. – Note: Last year we had a lot of last-minute entries and that caused our volunteers countless hours of extra work, so in that regard we will be sticking firm to our registration cut-off dates. Only late entrants that will be allowed will be due to someone else withdrawing or being injured.

Registration is online only and is not complete until the PCO waiver has been accepted.

Please note that there will be a $5.00 administration fee charge for withdrawals. This pays for costs associated with processing financial transactions.

The Tournament Committee reserves the right to make changes to the tournament, combine brackets, or change and alter the format depending on the number of registrations received.

OUR GOAL IS TO GET EVERY SINGLE SPC MEMBER PARTICIPATING IN THIS EVENT, SO MAKE SURE YOU REGISTER AS SOON AS YOU CAN!!
