Tournament Description
Welcome to the South Beach Slam! A signature pickleball event being hosted by the city of Miami Beach in the heart of South Beach on the popular Lincoln Road! Entry is FREE, and spots will fill fast (8 teams per division), so don't hesitate to secure your spot to join in on the action!
THE $20 "REGISTRATION FEE" WILL BE REFUNDED TO YOU ON THE DAY OF THE TOURNAMENT. THE $20 REGISTRATION FEE WILL BE FORFIETED BY ANYONE WHO REGISTERS AND DOES NOT SHOW UP TO PLAY IN THE TOURNAMENT.
PLAYERS CAN ONLY ENTER ONE EVENT.
Format:
This will be a two day event with all divisions having group stages on Saturday, and playoff matches on Sunday. Every team will qualify for the playoffs to have a chance to take home some prize money! Players are guaranteed to have three matches on both days. FAQ:
Do I have to sign up as a team?
No – you can sign up as a single registrant provided you know your rating, and we will pair you with a player of the same skill level, provided space is available in that division bracket. Will I be playing people who are much better than me?
Teams will be divided into different skill levels. You will be playing against teams who are within your skill level to ensure fair play across the board.
This tournament is being held outdoors and while we will have some shaded areas, please be prepared to be in the elements for the duration of your play. We recommend you bring sunscreen and water and any snacks you may need during play. Beverages will be available for purchase onsite, but there will not be any place to refill water bottles. On-site restrooms will also be provided, with access for players only, with additional restrooms for spectators being located a few steps away at Yard House. There will not be any lockers or secure storage on site, so only bring what is needed and leave your valuables at home as the South Beach Slam cannot be held responsible for the individual valuables of players on site.
Do spectators have to pay?
No – the tournament will be held in an outdoor surface parking lot. Only players will be allowed within the fenced perimeter of each court, but spectators are free to roam the event site and watch games as they take place.
Is the event accessible?
Yes – both the event site and tournament play are accessible. This event is taking place in a surface parking lot at 1665 Lenox Avenue, with no barriers to access or mobility.
Can children play?
Yes. People of all ages and abilities are welcome, provided they know their rating, as that rating will ensure they are playing against other players of the same skill level.
What is included in the registration kit?
Players can pick up their registration kits on Friday November 17 from 4pm – 8pm and on Saturday November 18, from 8AM – 4PM at Nike on Lincoln Road, located at 1035 Lincoln Road. The registration kit will include information on the tournament, rules of play a branded South Beach Slam tote bag and sweat towel along with additional information and discounts from local businesses.

Prize Money
Each division will have a prize payout structure as follows:
1st - $350
2nd - $150
3rd - $100

Parking Fee: Yes
We highly suggest that all participants try to walk, bike or take public transportation to the event, but if parking is necessary, you can go to www.miamibeachfl.gov/southbeachslam FAQ to find public parking around the event site.
Weather
Will the event be held rain or shine?
Yes, the tournament will take place rain or shine, but will be delayed or cancelled in the event of lightning or other dangerous weather conditions as deemed necessary by the City of Miami Beach public safety authorities. Should the event be cancelled due to weather conditions, a notification will be sent out to all registrants with important information on safety and rescheduling / refund policies.
