Sierra Sport and Racquet Club Spring Fling Pickleball Tournament is back!

We are excited for this year’s Community Team Up with the benefactor of our “FLING”! This year, we are teaming up with The San Joaquin Valley Medical Scholarship Foundation. (SJVMSF). A portion of each registration fee will be donated back to the Foundation, helping support and lessen the severe shortage of local Primary Care Physicians here in our Valley.

Registration fee of $70 will bring you a weekend of fun.

SJVMSF MISSION: “To improve the health and wellbeing of people living in California’s Central Valley and increase the number of healthcare professionals practicing in the region by offering financial support to low-income health professional students who agree to remain in the Valley until graduation”

Sierra Sport and Racquet Club Spring Fling Social Tournament.

Where: Sierra Sport and Racquet Club

When: April 6 & 7

Check in: 8 a.m.

This will be a fun social round robin format tournament. Saturday April 6, 2024 will be Men's/Women's doubles, followed with Mixed Doubles on Sunday April 7, 2024. Format will be level based with appropriate age brackets based on signup.

Players should register with a partner by level bracket.

Brackets with 4 or more teams could take 4-6 hours to complete, please plan accordingly

3 teams/players (only if necessary, we will try to combine any 3 team/player divisions with the closest age division possible)

- Double-RR, games 1 to 15

- Top 2 teams advanced to Gold Medal match, 2/3 to 11 win by 2

- 3rd place team automatically receives Bronze medal

4 team bracket

- Single-RR, games 1 to 15

- Semi-final (all 4 teams) - 1 to 15

- Bronze - 1 to 15

- Gold - 2/3 to 11

5-7 team bracket

- Single-RR, games 1 to 15

- Semi-final (top 4 teams) - 1 to 15

- Bronze - 1 to 15

- Gold - 2/3 to 11

8-9 team team bracket

- Single-RR, games 1 to 11

- Semi-final (top 4 teams) - 1 to 11

- Bronze - 1 to 11

- Gold - 2/3 to 11

10-12 team bracket

- 2 pools, Single-RR, games 1 to 15

- Semi-final (top 2 teams from each pool) - 1 to 15

- Bronze - 1 to 15

- Gold - 2/3 to 11

The event has the right to shorten match formats if the weather pose's scheduling delays, if events do not fill up, brackets may be combined at the tournament Director's Discretion.

Through end of day Sunday March 31, 2024 full refund minus the $5.00 site fee. No refunds after March 31 2024.

INCLEMENT WEATHER POLICY

This is an outdoor event. If weather or any other unforeseen circumstance occurs, we will do all we can to play matches. If brackets are in mid-play when a weather or unforeseen circumstance occurs the situation will be evaluated on a case-by-case basis to determine if the bracket may be finished or if winners may be determined.

We will always try to wait out the weather and play. Rarely will we ever cancel an event.

Club Waiver must be signed by all participants prior to participation.
