Welcome to the Second Annual 2024 Serving for Safety Pickleball Tournament sponsored by Ohio Valley Bank.

Join us July 11th through the 14th at the Nitro Sports Complex which is the largest pickleball facility in WV. This new facility also has a pool, concession stand, and various viewing locations to catch all the action.. This is a MMP Sanctioned tournament, and all medal matches will be refereed with the intent of referees being on as many courts as possible. We will have 17 outdoor courts (9 dedicated and 8 dual purpose) available for play! See below for the schedule of events. All players must show valid ID at check-in.

THURSDAY - Senior Women's and Men's Doubles

FRIDAY- Senior Mixed Doubles, Senior Singles, Men's Singles and Women's Singles

SATURDAY - Women's and Men's Doubles

SUNDAY - Mixed Doubles and Pro Singles

Teams must register and pay as individuals.

OPEN Events with guaranteed purse of $15,000. Divisions must have at least 6 teams to receive full payout.

All registrations must be completed online via credit/debit card.

All participants are invited to join us for a practice session Thursday July 11th and Friday July 12 from 3-6pm.

The first 250 participants to register will receive a swagbag!

Register by July 1st to receive a FREE tournament t-shirt and a towel!

We will be playing the Selkirk SP1 Outdoor Ball.

All teams and players will play a minimum of four to six games, and all round robins will consist of a

minimum of four teams or players, and a maximum of six teams or players. The top four teams will advance

to the playoff. Regardless of round robin or pool play, a minimum of four teams or players will go to playoffs.

There will be a potential for six teams or players to advance to the playoff if a bracket consists of more than

two pools of six teams or players. Scoring during the round robin portion will be one game to 15 points,

with winners needing to win by two points. Medal matches will be the best of three games to 11 points

with winners needing to win by two.

*Brackets may be combined at the discretion of the Tournament Director

Friday, July 12th, join us for community night from 5 to 8:30 pm. There will be FREE swimming, FREE pickleball courts, FREE pickleball lessons, and Live Music from Scott Honaker! Best of all, the famous Mt. Olive pickle eating contest will make its triumphant return at 6:00 pm with $100 going to the winner!

In addition, the Metro 911 Employee Association will be giving away 13 Selkirk paddles ($250 value!), 4 Selkirk Core Day backpacks, and more!

(Winners do not have to be present Friday to win, but must be pre-registered for the 2024 Serving for Safety Tournament.)

All refunds are subject to a $10 cancellation fee. No refunds for any reason after cancellation deadline of 7/8/24. Player fees are non transferable.

ALL Amateur winners will receive Metro/Ohio Valley Bank medals for Bronze, Silver, and Gold.

OPEN payout for gender doubles, mixed and singles. Must have 6 teams in bracket to receive full payout.
