Welcome to the Rocky Point Winter Classic 2024

Located in the Sea of Cortez, Rocky Point (Puerto Peñasco) is a small fishing village offering iconic ocean views, warm water beaches, and high end resorts, making for the perfect pickleball destination getaway.

Only a 90 minutes drive from the Arizona border, a four hour drive from Phoenix/Yuma, AZ and six hour drive from San Diego, CA. Hundreds if not thousands of Arizonians call safe Rocky Point home, while others enjoy weekend getaways, or long stay vacations.

The Rocky Point Winter Classic will be held on 7 courts alongside the beautiful Sea of Cortez. This tournament will be an annual start to the year, a standard double elimination tournament divided by skill level groups. Join us for the tournament and a traditional Mexican Carne Asada with a Margarita during Sunday's play. Each player will receive a player's bag full of swag and a tournament T-shirt. Our beautiful Rocky Point Pickleball medals will be awarded to all 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place finishers in each division.

In addition to Pickleball, there are many activities you can enjoy to make your getaway even better, such as sand dune bug riding, horseback riding on the beach, visiting The Center for the Study of Deserts and Oceans has gardens and a fin-whale skeleton. Northwest, El Pinacate y Gran Desierto de Altar Biosphere Reserve features volcanic and desert terrain.
