Rock N Roll

Format: Round Robin that feeds into a Single Elimination bracket to determine medals. (Round Robin standings determines your seed into the Single Elimination bracket).

If there are more than 8 teams in a division, that division will be split into pools for the Round Robin portion.

FEES:

Before January 1st, 2024: Early Bird Registration Fee $30.00

After January 1st, 2024: Registration Fee $40.00

Event Fee: $20.00 per event

Schedule of Events

Wednesday, January 31st / Men & Women's Doubles Seniors (50-54, 55-59, 60-64, 65-69, 70-74, 75+)

Thursday, February 1st / Mixed Doubles Seniors (50-54, 55-59, 60-64, 65-69, 70-74, 75+)

Friday, February 2nd / Men's & Women's (12+ & 35+)

Saturday, February 3rd / Mixed Doubles (12+ & 35+)

Match Times will be determined 3 days before your event begins

Tournament Director has the right to combined brackets by age or skill on any day.

Friday and Saturday's Events WILL BE combined by skill if there are not enough teams in either bracket. Medals will NOT be separated out on Friday and Saturday events if brackets are combined.

A players spot is NOT SECURE unless you have a partner listed and BOTH partner's are PAID IN FULL!!!!!

*Players have 21 days to find a partner, otherwise they will be placed on the waitlist automatically. It is your responsibility to make sure your partner registers. All players need to register on their own.

Refund Deadline:

Full Refund minus $15.00 processing fee will be issued before January 1st, 2024.

50% Refund will be issued before January 15th, 2024, after this date no refunds will be issued.

Refunds may take up to 20 business days to process.

All refunds will need to be sent via email for approval.

- Morning matches started 1/2 hour late due to court conditions, but we are still on track for our 2:30 PM start time for MD & WD.

MD / 4.0 / 12-34 has been moved to the 2:30 PM Start Time

MD / 3.5 / All Ages - Start at 6:00 PM

WD / 4.0 / All Ages - Start at 6:00 PM

UPDATE - 02/02/2024 @ 12:00 PM

Unfortunately court conditions are still unplayable. Even if we get a break in the weather by the time we get courts playable there is the possibility of more rain showers through the afternoon and evening.

With that being said we have made the decision to move Men’s & Women’s Doubles to Saturday afternoon after the Mixed portion of the tournament is played. Mixed will still start at 10:00 AM on Saturday to allow our maintenance department to properly prepare the courts.

Check-In for Doubles will start at 2:00 PM, with matches starting at 2:30 PM.

Those events that were scheduled for 1:30 PM today, please be aware your time may change tomorrow depending on court availability. We are hoping to offer you the 1:30 check-in but if not your events will start at 6:00 PM (Check-In 5:30). Your schedule will be posted officially by 11AM Saturday.

Event format will stay the same, being Round Robin to determine seeding into a Single Elimination. Scoring format will vary depending on bracket size, but all brackets will still be playing roughly the same amount of points as other brackets. All round robins will be WIN BY 1 and all Single Eliminations will be 1 to 15 win by 2.

We apologize we couldn’t make the weather cooperate today, if you no longer can play tomorrow at the new scheduled time PLEASE email me directly at trisha.callister@sgcity.org before 8 PM tonight so we can refill brackets and be more prepared to take care of everyone tomorrow.

Due to current court conditions and weather we will reevaluate event start times at 12:00 PM and give another update.

The plan currently is to start event check-in at 2:00 PM if court conditions improve meaning our 10:00 AM events will start at 2:30 pm. (Our 1:30 PM events will start at 6:00 PM)

We will do our best to update this information as soon as we know.

Players this is the first place we will update players on any rain delay.

We will update players at 8:45 AM on Friday if there will be a rain delay. If it rains all night we will need the sun to come out and help dry the courts off.

We will do our very best TO PLAY ON FRIDAY. If there is rain in the morning, events will be pushed to the afternoon and evening hours. If Friday is completely unplayable those events will be pushed to Saturday afternoon after the Mixed portion has been played. Please understand that formats will need to be shortened to get all matches played.

We unfortunately can't predict what the weather will do so please be patient with us and check this weather information often, as this will be our first line of communication. We will do our very best to make sure all events are played. Thanks!
