Red Nosed Rumble
Tournament Description
The 2023 Red Nosed Rumble tournament has been cancelled due to conflicts with scheduling. We will try again in the spring. Thanks everyone!
Additional Information
Our tournament will begin with senior women and men's doubles on Friday, December 1st.
The next session will be mixed doubles levels 3.0 to 5.0. Also running in that session will be the boys and girls junior doubles event.
Finally, we round out Friday with the Open level cash game. A max of 20 men's and women's teams will compete for up to $8,000 of prize money. With the maximum players, first place will pay $1600 to the winning team. $1,000 to the silver medal winners and $600 to the bronze winning team.
On Saturday we move on to Men's and Women's doubles from 3.0-5.0. Next we roll out skinny singles for juniors and men and women. Finally, the last session will end with our team event. Each member of the team will need to be registered for this event. This is also a cash game with 80% paid out to the gold, silver and bronze winners. In this game the women and men will play each other in doubles. Then the two mixed doubles teams will match up. If, at the end of these 4 matches, one team has won 3 games, that team is the winner. If the match is tied, a dreambreaker will be played. In this final game one team will give their 4 person rotation and the other team will then match up with their rotation. Players will then play 4 points each using the rally scoring method until one team reaches 21 points, winning by 1. Tournament staff will be close by to answer any questions about how this format works.
For the team game, please simply register as a mixed couple for the event and email event staff to let us know the other mixed couple who will be joining your team. If you don't have a second couple, we will help match you up with another mixed couple in your skill level.
