Welcome to the Punta Gorda Christmas Classic Tournament. This tournament is Presented by Pickleball Productions and Sponsored by Punta Gorda,Englewood Pure Sports, Nike, Gamma, Diadem, Ansboury Consulting and iDink Wear. We are excited to have our wonderful sponsors and partners for this tournament. Medals will be awarded for Gold, Silver, and Bronze of each event.
Events are as follows:
6 or more teams in a bracket: All events will be Double elimination 2 out of 3 to 11 win by 2 in the winners bracket. Once in the consolation bracket, will be one game to 15 win by 2. There will be no come around.
5 or less teams in a bracket: All events will be a Round Robin format, 2 out of 3 to 11 win by 2. Winners will go by number of wins, if tied it will go to head to head. If there is a three way tie, it will be determined by point differential.
3 or less teams in a bracket: All events will be a Double Round Robin format, 2 out of 3 to 11 win by 2. Winners will go by number of wins, if tied it will go to head to head. If there is a three way tie, it will be determined by point differential.
Events are as follows:
Dec 8 - Friday - Women's Doubles and Men's Singles - Starts a 12:00 pm
Dec 9 - Saturday -Mixed Doubles - Starts at 8am
Dec 10 - Sunday - Men's Doubles and Women's Singles - Starts at 8am
*** all are age/skill events****. Skiills: 3.0, 3.5, 4.0, 4.5, 5.0Age: 19+, 35+, 50+, 60+, 70+. We will try to keep brackets by age/skill, but we may have to merge some brackets.
