Tournament Description
Polar Paddle Battle Format
Tournament Format:
Round Robin Pool Play: Teams are divided based on age and skill level. They play each other within
their pool.
Medal Matches:
1st and 2nd place teams will compete for Gold and Silver.
3rd and 4th place teams will compete for Bronze.
Scoring:
• Pool Play: Win-loss record determines ranking.
• Ties: Head-to-head record, then points for and against, are used to break ties.
• Match Play: Matches will be played to 11 points, win by 2, for pools of 7-8 teams.
• Match Play: Matches will be played to 15 points, win by 2, for pools of 5-6 teams.
The Tournament Director reserves the right to modify the tournament format as necessary to enhance the overall tournament experience. Medal matches will be played if time permits.
Official Ball: Selkirk Pro S1
Officiating:
• Self-officiated matches with USA Pickleball rules.
• The tournament is unsanctioned.
Schedule:
• A detailed schedule will be emailed to participants before the tournament.
Tournament Director's Discretion:
• Age pools may be combined for sufficient matches.
• Skill levels will not be combined.
Guaranteed Play:
• All players get at least 5 matches.

• Registration closes: January 17th, 2025
• Volunteer opportunity: 3 hours of volunteering gets you a free tournament shirt and open play at Paddle Taps (court monitors needed)

Refund Policy
A 20% transaction fee will be applied to all withdrawals. No refunds will be issued after January 3, 2025. To ensure you receive a tournament t-shirt, please register by January 3, 2025. After this date, t-shirt availability cannot be guaranteed.

Paddle Taps is a climate-controlled indoor facility. We're committed to providing a fun and safe environment for our players, regardless of the weather.
Unless a Level 3 snow emergency is declared, the tournament will proceed as scheduled.

Hydration: It is essential to stay hydrated. Please drink plenty of water before, during, and after play.
Proper Footwear: Wear appropriate athletic footwear designed for court sports to prevent injuries.
Court Etiquette: Please keep the courts clear of bags, equipment, and other obstructions.
Emergency Situations: In case of an emergency, please notify tournament staff immediately.
By participating in this tournament, you agree to abide by these rules and regulations and release the tournament organizers, sponsors, and venue from any liability for injuries or damages.
