The 2025 Pickleball Saskatchewan Provincial Tournament is open to Saskatchewan residents only in all skill levels and age groups.
Proof of residency must be supplied at the time of check-in. Any of the following are acceptable documents to prove residency:
- Valid Provincial Driver's License
- Valid Provincial Health Care Card
- Provincial Identification Card
Registration will be considered complete when both players are registered and payment is made. If payment is not made in 5 days, you will be moved to the Wait List.
The Pickleball Saskatchewan Provincial Tournament will be skill (and age) based and will be played indoors on 16 courts. More outdoor courts will be added once the contract is finalized. This is a Pickleball Canada sanctioned Tier II tournament that will use current Global Pickleball Federation rules.
The tournament ball will be the Franklin X-40.
Registration for residents of Saskatchewan will open on March 15, 2025 at 6:00 p.m.
Players may enter a maximum of 3 events and may only enter one doubles, one mixed doubles and one singles event.
Registration must be completed online at pickleballtournaments.com. If you have a partner, choose 'I Have' and select him/her or select 'I Need' a partner.
This is a sanctioned tournament, so if you are currently not a member of Pickleball Canada, you must take out/renew your membership before your registration will be considered complete.

FORMAT: NEW FOR PICKLEBALL SASKATCHEWAN PROVINCIALS 2025 AS PRESENTED BY CARGET.
A CHANGE IN THE 2025 RULEBOOK ALLOWS RALLY SCORING FOR SINGLES. PSP2025 WILL USE RALLY SCORING FOR ALL SINGLES AND MINI/SKINNY SINGLES MATCHES.
The current Global Pickleball Federation rules will apply.
Players must be 08 years of age or older any time in 2025 in order to compete.
Age brackets: 10-49, 50-59, 60-64, 65-69. 70+. There will be a junior event offered for boys and girls ages 8-14. Your tournament age is the age you will become in 2025.
Age brackets will be combined if the number of entries does not support separating brackets by age.
Events will be double elimination with each match being best 2 out of 3 games to 11 on the “A” side of the draw. On the “B” side of the draw each match will consist of one game to 15. Players are guaranteed three games. All singles matches will be rally scoring to 21.
Brackets with 6 teams or less will play a round robin format.
The tournament committee reserves the right to place players in their appropriate skill level category and to combine brackets based on registrations.
Medals will be awarded to the top three teams in each (combined) bracket.
If this is the first time you will participate in a tournament which uses the Pickleball Brackets system, give careful thought to the skill levels you recorded in your Player Profile. These skill levels plus .250 will be the starting point for your tournament rating calculation.
Participants may play up a max. skill level (1) or down in age at the discretion of the tournament director. The tournament committee reserves the right to place players in their appropriate skill level category and to combine brackets based on registrations.
NEW RULE FOR 2025:
Inappropriate apparel may now include apparel that approximates the colour of the
tournament ball. Players are to avoid wearing apparel that approximates the
color of the tournament ball. The Tournament Director retains the right to require an apparel change during a non-chargeable time-out.
Level 1 Referees will be compensated $7 per match; Level 2 Referees $10 per match; Certified Referees $15 per match. Volunteer referees with the appropriate training are also encouraged to referee, space permitting.

Refund Policy
Cancellations will be accepted until May31, 2025 at 12:00 pm with a full refund less a $15 administration fee.
