Which state has the best pickleball players?

The answer will be revealed soon enough, courtesy of the inaugural United Pickleball State Championship (UPSC), a set of tournaments conducted across all 50 states in the country. The Gold Medalists from each of these tournaments will automatically secure invitations to the year-end United States Championship in Dallas, TX, and all event fees will be waived.

Come the United States Championship, a Champions Division will feature all the champions from each division nationwide battling against each other for pickleball supremacy.

Champions Division

Participants who secure skill-level gold at a state championship are eligible for a complimentary event fee to the United States Championship in Dallas, TX. This exclusive offer recognizes and rewards excellence in the Champions Division and ensures the best possible competition. This United States Championship will take place from November 4th to the 9th.

Round Robin format (skill/age) WITH playoffs for Gold/Silver/Bronze for skills 3.0 – 5.0. Age brackets will be determined following the close of registration, but will strive to be close to under 8 - 34, 35 - 49, 50 - 59, 60 - 69, 70 - 79, 80+ events. TD may combine brackets as needed to ensure quality play.

Players will self rate and can not play lower than their Pickleball Brackets rating (PBR) or USA Pickleball Tournament Player Rating (UTPR). Players may only play up in skill .5 from their profile rating. Tournament Director reserves the right to correct underrated players.

Divisions Offered

We are excited to offer a range of divisions to cater to players of varying age groups and skill levels:

Skill Levels: 3.0, 3.5, 4.0, 4.5, 5.0

Age Groups: 18U, 19+, 35+, 50+, 60+, 70+, 80+

Playing Divisions: MD, WD, MXD, MS, WS

Format:

ALL Round Robin with playoffs for Gold/Silver/Bronze. All games/matches are win by 2

Most Round Robins are 1 to 15 but may change based on the number of players in the event. If an event has 7 teams or more, round-robin matches will be 1 to 11 by 2.

Top 4 teams go to the playoff (Lead in matches are 1 to 15 with the Gold/Silver/Bronze Match with the option of 2/3-11w/2 or 1 to 15.

TD may combine brackets as needed to ensure quality play.

Optional - two short-sleeved styles offered in Unisex & Women’s Fit.

Unisex Fit shirts will have Pickleball Nebraska Event Logo large on front center of shirt, and Women’s Fit shirts will have a small Pickleball Nebraska Event Logo on upper left chest.

Refund Policy

$20 Admin fee for all withdrawals by October 11, 2024 Noon cst

No refunds after close of registration

If any event is cancelled due to unforeseen circumstances, there will be up to a 50% refund
