Tournament Description

September 15th-17th 2023.
“Pickleball for Mental Health 2023 - presented by Nor-Val Rentals and Sales.”
This Is a charity tournament in support of Mental Health. All funds raised through your participation in the tournament will be used to benefit Mental Health within the South Okanagan Similkameen region. Last years tournament ( supported by 135 participants) and the various fundraising events, raised more then $56,000.00.
Players will be provided a “tax donation receipt “ from CMHA as part of your registration.
Tournament events will include men’s, women’s and mixed doubles.
The tournament play will be four skill level (any age) categories: 3.0, 3.5, 4.0, 4.5+ and one age / skill category of 3.5 , 60+ in the following three categories: mens, ladies and mixed doubles.
The playing format will be Round Robin with games to 11 or 15 points (win by 2) and a 5 game minimum.
All levels with 6 teams will be 5 game - Round Robin play with playoffs for top 4 teams.
The tournament reserves the right to increase the number of teams within a level as well as the round robin games played. The tournament also reserves the right to move teams to additional skill/ age related events should registration warrant it.
Registration is $65.00 plus $10 for each event.
June 12, 2023 at 9:00am - Registration opens.
August 20, 2023 at 9:00pm - Registration closes.
August 28, 2023 at 9:00pm - Last day for refunds
September 15th Event Day: Women’s Doubles
September 16th Event Day: Mixed Doubles
September 17th. Event Day: Men’s Doubles

Additional Information

Priority will be given to team registrations that are complete.
Registrations will be considered complete when both players have registered and have paid the tournament registration fees. Teams that have not completed registration of both players within 5 days will be moved to the waitlist. Teams on the waitlist that complete their registration will be added to the event, provided there is space in the event.
The organizing committee reserves the right to cap the number of registrants on any one day of the tournament when the facilities/schedule reach capacity.
The tournament director reserves the right to review and possibly move a player to another level. The tournament director reserves the right to “create” and move registered teams to age and skill level category should the registration numbers warrant it.
In order to register for this tournament you must have a Pickleball Brackets player profile with your Pickleball Canada Organization number (PCO#) included.
All semi-final and final /medal matches will be refereed where possible.
Note: Food and refreshments will be available for purchase on site.

Refund Policy

Registration Fees, minus a $10 Administration Fee, will be refunded for withdrawals before August 28th, 2023 at 9:00 pm. Any withdrawals after August 28th, 2023, 9:01 pm will not be refunded.
Refunds will not be issued for cancellations due to acts of nature i.e. rain, fire, smoke.
This tournament will abide by all Public Health Orders.
Refunds will not be issued if cancelled due to Public Health Order/reasons.
