Aiken Pickleball, Inc. is hosting the Pickle in the Park Round Robin Tournament. This event will be held on Saturday, October 21 at Virginia Acres Park in Aiken, SC.

Registration fee is $35 and includes one event. There is a $10.00 charge for an additional event. Pickleball Brackets will impose a service fee at the end of checkout.

Events are as follows. The format is Round Robin. There will be a maximum of 7 teams per division.

Mixed 3.0, 3.5, 4.0+ 19+

Mixed 3.0, 3.5, 4.0+ 40+

Mixed 3.0, 3.5, 4.0+ 60+

Women's singles 3.5 and above

Men's singles 3.0 and below

Men's singles 3.5 and above

Players will sign up with a prearranged partner. Your team will play one match against every other team in your bracket.

There will also be a women's 2.5 scramble. Each player will play one game with every other player in the division.

As registration proceeds, tournament management reserves the option to combine brackets as needed if brackets do not fill.

A team must play at the skill level of the higher rated player, and at the age group of the younger player. Age is calculated as of 12/31/2023.

In divisions where a set partner is required, you may register and identify your partner or request "Need partner". Your identified partner must register within 30 days of your registration, or the team will be moved to the waiting list. When the identified partner registers after the 30-day grace period, the team will automatically move from the waiting list back to the active list if there is a slot available and both players have paid.

If a player needs a partner, the team will automatically move from the wait list to the active list once a partner is identified, registers, and both players have paid if there is an available slot to move to. Your spot in the tournament is not guaranteed until you and your partner have registered and all fees have been paid in full.

Gold, silver, and bronze medals will be awarded in each event.

There are no referees. Matches are self-monitored. If a referee is requested, we will do our best to provide one.

The ball used will be the Yellow Outdoor Franklin X-40. Players will not be allowed to wear yellow shirts.

First tie-breaker: head-to-head matches won.

Second tie-breaker: point differential of all games played.

(e.g., Team A won Match 1 11-8, 11-4, so they would have a point differential of +10.

Team A then wins the second match 11-9, 2-11, 11-6.

For this round, they would have a point 50 differential of -2.

This would give them a total for the day of +8.)

Third tie-breaker: head-to-head point differential.

Fourth tie-breaker: point differential against next-highest team. (e.g., If the teams are tied for second, use point differentials against the first-place team.)

Withdrawal deadline is 6 PM on October 14, 2023. No refunds for withdrawals after that date.

Withdrawals prior to that date are subject to a $10 administration fee. The Pickleball Brackets service fee is also non-refundable.

Partial refunds will be given upon request if there are event cancellations due to inclement weather.

If a bracket is cancelled because of inclement weather, half of the fee for that event will be refunded upon request. All requests must be received by October 24. If at least three rounds have been played in a bracket, medals will be awarded based on the results of games played and no refunds will be given.
