Tournament Description
Pickle For The Pets is a charity event benefiting the Yavapai Humane Society. Net proceeds will go to the Yavapai Humane Society.
***THIS IS A NON-SANCTIONED PICKLEBALL TOURNAMENT. Have fun and support the animals!!!
This will be a round robin tournament featuring Women's Doubles, Men's Doubles, and Mixed Doubles. Skill levels include 2.5, 3.0, 3.5, 4.0 and 4.5, split into age appropriate groups. If registrations are low in specific skill and/or age groups, the Tournament Committee reserves the right to merge groups as needed. *For merged brackets, only be ONE set of medals will be awarded.

3 teams Double RR 1 to 21 win by 1
4 teams Double RR 1 of 21 win by 1
5 teams Single RR 1 to 21 win by 1
6 teams Single RR 1 to 21 win by 1
7 teams Single RR 1 to 15 win by 1
*8 or more teams POOL PLAY
2 groups 1 game to 21 win by 1
Top 2 teams from each pool move to the play off
Round 1: 1 to 15 win by 1
THEN -
Winners play 2 out of 3 to 11 win by 1 for GOLD SILVER
Losers play 1 to 15 win by 1 Winner gets BRONZE
Additional Information
Registration is online only. For all events, registration is not complete until BOTH partners have registered, and PAID the entrance fees.
All players must complete their registration by Oct 16th, 2023 @ 9:00 pm.
For all Doubles events, players may enter as a team or look under "Players Needing Partners" to find a partner. PLEASE NOTE: If a partner has not completed their registration within 5 days of the first partner registering, the team will be automatically moved to the waitlist. When the identified partner registers after the 5 day period, the team will automatically move from the waitlist back to the active list.
If a player is in a bracket but does NOT have a partner by the end of registration(10/21 9pm), that player will be moved to the wait list. At this point, the player will NOT be part of the bracket BUT someone may pick up this person as a partner if they are in need of a teammate.
In the case of waitlists, teams will take priority over individuals.
COMPLETE registration means both team members have gone thru the registration process AND have paid in full. Espire waivers will need to be signed the day of your event if you have not previously signed one at Espire Sports.
The Tournament Committee reserves the right to place players in the Skill Group based on their current club rating and/or Round Robin group participation. The Tournament Committee has the right to make changes to the tournament, combine divisions, or change and alter the format depending on the number of registrations received. *For merged brackets, only be ONE set of medals will be awarded.
Refund Policy
Registrants withdrawing before October 18th @ 9:00 pm will be refunded minus a $5.00 administration fee per event. There will be NO refunds after October 18th @ 9.01 pm for player cancellations / withdrawals.
