The Story Behind ⛅️
Partly Sunny was established in 2023, as a lifestyle brand focused on overall mindset. Being able to see the sun beyond the clouds on any given day will energize you to make more clear headed decisions, focus on the bigger picture, and overall do good for not only yourself but also for the person next to you.
Our company motto of "Look Good, Feel Good, Play Good, Do Good" really applies to all aspects of life; on and off the court.
Co-founders, Yasmin and Jason, are quite the opposites, but their morals and intentions align effortlessly. Yasmin provides optimism, persistence and positivity, while Jason offers stability, protection and realism. Put together their main focuses become mindset, mental wellness and manifestation which really brings the brand to life.
This is just the beginning of spreading love for game of pickleball, bringing awareness to topics and overall focusing on the 🌞 even on the cloudiest of days.

We will be donating 10% of proceeds to Mental Health America NWI to help bring awareness and to break the negative stigma associated with mental health.

FORMAT:.
Each Division (3.5, 4.0, 4.0+) will consist of 6 teams and you will compete in a Round-Robin format (5 games) in order to determine seeding for bracket play. At the conclusion of Round Robin play each team will receive a SEED (based on Wins, PD, head to head) and all teams will continue to play in a single elimination bracket. The #1 and the 2 seed will both receive a bye in the first round. The #3 seed will play the #6 seed and the #4 seed will play #5 seed, The winners will advance to the pre-medal round and the losers are eliminated from the tournament. After the conclusion of the pre-medal matches the winners will move on to the Gold Medal game and the loser will move on to the Bronze Medal game. When all division matches have concluded, medals will be awarded and photos will be taken by player check-in.
GAMES/SCORING:
Round-Robin/Preliminary Round
Prior to the start of each game, teams will need to determine serve or side. There will be a large dice in each basket, one team will decide even or odd and the dice will be rolled. The team that wins the roll will decide if they want to serve or choose a side. All round robin games and preliminary tournament matches will consist of 1 game to 15 (win by 2) using standard scoring. Games to 15 will need to switch sides at 8 and must remember their court positions as they move to the other side.
Pre-Medal/Medal Round
Prior to the start of each game, teams will need to determine serve or side. There will be a large dice in each basket, one team will decide even or odd and the dice will be rolled. The team that wins the roll will decide if they want to serve or choose a side for the 1st game and alternate for the 2nd game.. All pre-medal and medal matches will be the best 2 out 3, game to 11 (win by 2) using standard scoring. If there is a third game teams will switch sides at 6 and must remember their court positions as they move to the other side.
DUPR: You all have been invited (using your email) to join Partly Sunny on DUPR. Your game results will be entered into the system to create an accurate rating for yourself. We will be using those for eligibility and signups in the future.
