The newly formed Mat-Su Pickleball Club is excited to kick off the Summer with the inaugural Palmer Memorial Day Tournament at the newly resurfaced Bill Hermann Tennis Courts in downtown Palmer, Alaska.

Saturday May 27th will feature Men's and Women's doubles.

Sunday May 28th will feature Men's singles, Women's singles, and Mixed Doubles.

The tentative event schedule will be as follows:

Saturday May 27th a.m. - Women's Doubles 2.5, 3.0, 3.5, and 4.0+

Saturday May 27th p.m. - Men's Doubles 3.0, 3.5, 4.0, and 4.5+

Sunday May 28th a.m. - Women's Singles Open, Men's Singles Upper and Lower, Mixed Doubles 2.5

Sunday May 28th p.m. - Mixed Doubles 3.0,3.5,4.0+

Events will have staggered starting time to optimally use available courts, but the schedule above is the tentative schedule for event start times. The Tournament Director can change start times, combine division, remove, or add divisions based on demand and availability of courts.

The Franklin X-40 Optic Yellow will be used.

For doubles events, a round robin will be utilized to determine seeding for playoff bracket. The amount of teams making it out of pool play with vary based on amount of teams signed up in each division. Each team is guaranteed four matches.

For singles events, a compass draw format will be utilized if 8 people sign up for each event. The goal in utilizing this format is to allow players to more easily play singles and mixed doubles in the same day. Each player is guaranteed three matches (7th/8th place match might be played outside of pickleballbrackets).

Matches start at 8:30 a.m. each morning. Try to arrive around 8 a.m., but do not start hitting until after 8 a.m. The park opens at 8 a.m. and we need to be respectful of the neighbors.

Until April 15th, $27 for one event, $10 for additional events

After April 15th, $37 for one event, $10 for additional events

Withdrawal deadline is May 15th. Refunds may be issued at the discretion of the Tournament Director and subject to reasonable fees.
