Paddle for a Purpose benefits StirrUp Purpose, an equine assisted organization with a mission to provide purpose and healing through meaningful equine experiences. Our core programs: therapeutic horsemanship, equine movement (hippotherapy) and veterans horse camps, focus on the horse-human relationship while providing individuals with the opportunity to gain strength, build relationships and visualize their purpose. Our veteran services are peer-led and equine taught, allowing our military heroes to find respite and recreation during multi-day horse camps in the national forest. Our Horsemanship and Learning programs teach adults and children the incredible life lessons about trust and leadership that a horse so uniquely provides, while building confidence, strength and balance. Hippotherapy programs, in partnership with Treehouse Therapies, serve children with disabilities, offering physical, occupational and behavioral health therapy utilizing equine movement as the therapeutic tool.
All proceeds from the Paddle for a Purpose tournament will support the programs and horses that serve our participants. Join us in making a difference in the lives of those who serve and people with disabilities.
