The True North Pickleball Tour couldn't be happier to be back in Ottawa for our fourth Ottawa Open. We are also very excited to be hosting it at the Amberwood Village Courts! 10 Permanent outdoor courts in a beautiful setting.
This is Pickleball Canada sanctioned event (pending). Event placement will use the CTPR for your official rating. You must have a Pickleball Canada membership to enter this tournament. Please make sure your Pickleball Canada member number is entered into your pickleballtournaments.com profile. If you are not currently a member you can go to pickleballcanada.org to sign up.
Results will also feed into your DUPR rating.
This will be a skill/age event with 50+, 60+, 70+ and senior open men's and women's doubles being played on May 16, 19+, 35+, 50+, 60+, 70+, open and senior open mixed doubles on May 17 and 19+, 35+ and open men's and women's doubles on May 18.
Open events with 6 or more teams will be played as a double elimination with prize money. All other events will be played as round robin/pools feeding into a single elimination medal round with bronze medal game.
As part of the True North Pickleball Tour this will be a qualifying event for the Tour Championship being held in September.
Your spot is not guaranteed till both players have registered and paid.
We will be refereeing as many matches as possible.
The Franklin X40, the official ball of the True North Pickleball Tour will be used.
Early registration will be available to Amberwood Members beginning March 1.
This is an outdoor tournament. Please see the refund policy. Every possible attempt will be made to dry courts and complete matches in the event of rain.
This will be a Pickleball Canada sanctioned event. Tournament director reserves the right to combine events as necessary.
