WAIT LIST
If you are on the waiting list for a specific event, PBT will not charge you for this specific event. Once you are off the waiting list, PBT will send you an email to notify you to pay for the event. You have seven days to pay for the event. Otherwise, you will go back to the waiting list. Make sure to pay attention to all emails from PBT and pay immediately when prompted.
When registering for DOUBLES, please make sure to have a partner ready before registration. Your partner must register within 3 days after you register. If your partner does not register within 3 days, you will be placed on the waiting list automatically. An email will go out to both players when this happens. Once your partner registers, both of you will be removed from the waiting list ONLY IF there is still available space in the event. Make sure to find a partner first before signing up for a Doubles event. This will allow players who already have a partner to sign up for the event.
Additional Information
This is a competitive pickleball tournament. The goal is to have fun, show great sportsmanship and respect for each other. Registrants should be prepared to play at the skill level of play they choose.
Here are some basic guidelines on determining which rating level you and/or partner play at:
a. Skill Level: If you or your partner is at a rating that is higher than your or your partner’s rating, then you or your partner must move to the higher rating level. For example, if you are 3.0 and your partner is 4.0, the 3.0 player must join the 4.0 event.
b. Age Event: If your partner is older than you, your partner must move to your age group. For example, if you are 30 and playing in the “30-40” age event and your partner is 67, then that partner must play in the “30-40” age event.
NDPT-MD reserves the right to move players or teams to a higher or lower skill event at its discretion and we will notify you of the changes. If the player or team refuses the change, your registration fee will be refunded minus a $10.00 processing fee.
One week before registration closes, ratings will be reviewed, and teams or players may be moved to another bracket at the discretion of the NDPT-MD tournament committee. Please ensure that you are in the appropriate skill level based on your current tournament rating.
DUPR
You are required to have a DUPR account to participate in the tournament. Please register at www.dupr.com.
NDPT-MD understands that your DUPR rating may fluctuate between now and the start of the tournament. Make sure to sign up for the most appropriate skill level.
Tournament results will be reported to DUPR for all events except for doubles scrambles.
SCHEDULE
The event schedule will be posted on the https://pickleballtournaments.com/ approximately one week before the tournament.
