UPDATE: We were so happy to play all of the Mixed events on Saturday, February 15th (check Draws & Results for stats & medal winners); and not so happy to have to postpone all of the Gender events due to inclement weather. The new schedule is listed below as are instructions based on different situations:
1) If you had already registered for one of the rescheduled events, and you and your partner are both able to play on the makeup date, you do NOT need to do anything; you are automatically registered.
2) If your partner cannot attend, you can select someone else and they will receive an email asking them to register. Your partner can then request a partial refund or choose to donate their fee to MRC. No refunds will be given after February 27th.
3) If neither you nor your partner can play, you may both withdraw, opening up a spot for two new players. Please do this ASAP if that is your situation. No refunds will be given for withdrawals after February 27th.
4) The NEW event, CO-ED 3.0 doubles is open to 8 teams. Co-ed means that the gender composition of the team doesn't matter (two men, two women, mixed); spread the word, please.
The makeup dates are listed below:
Men's 4.5: THIS Sunday, Feb 23, from 6-9pm
Women's 4.0: THIS Sunday, Feb 23, from 6-9pm
Men's 4.0: Friday, March 7, from 6-9pm
Co-ed 3.0: Friday, March 7, from 6-9pm (NEW EVENT)
Men's & Women's 3.5: Sunday, March 9th from 10:30am-1:30pm
Women's 4.5: Sunday, March 9th from 1:30-4:30pm
Welcome to MRC's EXTENDED Valentine's Weekend Tournament! This fundraiser will help us, as a community supported non-profit, continue to offer low-cost programming for youth hockey, tennis and pickleball. We regularly host "Tennis for Fun" for adults with disabilities and introduce local school and homeschooled groups to ice skating and tennis. Once we have added our new 8-court pickleball facility we will do even more outreach to the Midcoast pickle community. Your support is greatly appreciated! Participants ages 15-25 years old may use code GVsU4evm for $30 off tournament fee.
The tournament will be held indoors on our 8 brightly lit courts. Each team will have 10 minutes for warm up prior to your first game. You will play at least 6 games, most likely 7, as we plan on 8 teams per division with a 7-game round robin, followed by a playoff. We have plenty of room for spectators on the courts and full locker rooms as well as ice skating for the rest of the family.
Please check in with the tournament desk 20 minutes before your start time.
More specific details to follow, based on signup numbers.
Hopefully the weather will cooperate from here on out!
