ALCOHOL
Last year some people brought in their own drinks. This is not allowed at Mercury Baypark, so please respect their rules.
However, the Baypark cafe will be operating all day until 7pm and will be selling alcohol - along with coffee and lots of food. So if you want to unwind after a hard day of pickleball you can get a drink there.
CLUB WINNER TROPHY
The cup presented by Farmer Autovillage will again be at stake.
The winning club is decided on medals won by club members over the three days - 3 points for a gold, 2 for a silver and 1 for a bronze.
Please check your name and club on the list that will be available and advise your correct primary club as soon as possible.
Registrations are now officially open for the 3rd Mount Pickleball Classic!
On behalf of the Mount Pickleball Club I extend a warm welcome to you all to join us for what is sure to be another memorable get-together in our beautiful city.
This year the tournament will be held at a single venue – the Mercury Baypark Arena, 81 Truman Lane – over three days from September 12th - 14th
As in last year’s event there will be separate A and B grade competitions in both the Open and Super divisions and of course clubs will be competing for the coveted Farmer Autovillage trophy (won last year by South Auckland).
This year we will have more courts so will be able to accommodate more players and provide practice time on the Friday.
And after feedback we have decided that pool games will be played to 15, with no time limit (win by two).
A word of advice: if you won a B grade medal last year it’s time to step up to A. We reserve the right to move players who have clearly entered the wrong division.
The 3rd Mount Pickleball Classic offers up to three fun-filled days of your favourite sport in a great location and venue, along with medals and prizes. What more could you ask for?
