The approximate schedule for each day is:
Friday - We will be setting up nets from 9am and these should be available for practice from around 10am.
The welcome and briefing will be at 12.30pm, with play starting at 1pm.
Only the Super B Men's and Ladies' Doubles are being played on Friday.
We have 24 courts, so there will be plenty spare for anyone wanting a hit.

Saturday - Welcome and briefing at 8am, with round robin games to follow.
These involve all remaining divisions except the mixed: Open A Men's and Ladies Doubles, Open B Men's and Ladies Doubles, Super A Men's and Ladies Doubles.
Prize-giving around 5.30pm.
Sunday - Welcome and briefing at 8am, with round robin games to follow.
These involve Open A Mixed Doubles, Open B Mixed Doubles, Super A Mixed Doubles and Super B Mixed Doubles.
Prize-giving around 5.30pm.
The Tournament Administrator is the highly experienced Ange Brady, supported by Nick Brennan as the Tournament Controller.
ALCOHOL
Last year some people brought in their own drinks. This is not allowed at Mercury Baypark, so please respect their rules.
However, the Baypark cafe will be operating all day until 7pm and will be selling alcohol - along with coffee and lots of food. So if you want to unwind after a hard day of pickleball you can get a drink there.
CLUB WINNER TROPHY
The cup presented by Farmer Autovillage will again be at stake.
The winning club is decided on medals won by club members over the three days - 3 points for a gold, 2 for a silver and 1 for a bronze.
Please check your name and club on the list that will be available and advise your correct primary club as soon as possible.
NEWSFLASH!
The Tauranga Western Bay Community Event Fund has come on board as a major sponsor of this year's Mount Pickleball Classic. Their generous support, in addition to our group of sponsors already confirmed below, means that the Classic will be a pickleball gathering not to be missed! 278 players have registered and unfortunately registrations are now closed. Those who are already in but haven't confirmed partners yet, please do so as soon as possible.
850 Cameron Motel are pleased to offer the Pickleball players and families an Executive Studio for $230 per night or $10 per night off our lowest publicly available rate for any other room type from 29 to 31 August.
To receive this offer, either email or call them directly 07 577 1774.
Registrations are now officially open for the 2nd Mount Pickleball Classic!
On behalf of the Mount Pickleball Club I extend a warm welcome to you all to join us for what is sure to be another memorable get-together in our beautiful city.
This year the tournament will be held at a single venue – the Mercury Baypark Arena, 81 Truman Lane – over three days from August 30 to September 1.
As in last year’s inaugural event there will be separate A and B grade competitions in both the Open and Super divisions and of course clubs will be competing for the coveted Farmer Autovillage trophy (won last year by South Auckland).
This year we will have more courts – up to 120 – so will be able to accommodate more players and provide practice time on the Friday.
And after feedback we have decided that pool games will be played to 15, with no time limit (win by two).
A word of advice: if you won a B grade medal last year it’s time to step up to A. We reserve the right to move players who have clearly entered the wrong division.
The 2nd Mount Pickleball Classic offers up to three fun-filled days of your favourite sport in a great location and venue, along with medals and prizes. What more could you ask for?
