Doubles Competition

A casual, fun tournament for players age 50+, as of 12/31/2023. This is a non-sanctioned tournament subject to USAPA rules with modifications. PLAYERS MUST HAVE AN ACCOUNT ON PICKLEBALLBRACKETS.COM TO PARTICIPATE. If you do not currently have an account on pickleballbrackets.com, you can create one free of charge on that website.

Schedule:

March 13-15, 2024 (Wednesday - Friday)

Check in 7am - all participants

Men's doubles - Wednesday, 9am start

Mixed doubles - Thursday, 9am start

Women's doubles - Friday, 9am start

(NOTE: slight schedule modifications may occur based on registration levels)

Mesquite Recreation Center Old Mill Pickleball courts

Brackets:

Brackets will be based on skill level 3.0 - 5.0 (primary, with the pair playing at level of the higher rated player) and age in 5-year age brackets (secondary, with the pair playing in the younger aged player's age group). The tournament director will retain the option of combining age groups if necessary based on registrations, but skill brackets will not be combined.

All brackets will be round robin format with matches consisting of single games to 15 win by 2, or best 2-of-3 to 11 win by 2, at the discretion of the tournament director. Large brackets may be broken into pools at the discretion of the tournament director, with single-elimination playoff of pool winners to determine final medals.

Medals:

Gold, Silver, Bronze Awarded to All Age Groups Within Each Bracket

Sport Fee:

$30 Registration, $30 Event Fee, $5 Fusesport Fee. MSG will be conducting many events from March 2nd until April 25th, 2024. Participants are STRONGLY ENCOURAGED to register for additional events during our Spring Season, since the $30 Registration Fee is a ONE TIME FEE, meaning it is spread over all of the Spring events you register for! So, join us for other MSG events, and your Registration Fee will be stretched to the max!

Registration Fee and Event Fee will be refunded for any withdrawals up until 48 hours prior to the tournament start (0900, 09 March 2024, at which point all brackets will be "built"). The Fusesport Fee will not be refunded, as this is a "pass-through" fee that MSG has no control over.

Withdrawals after 0800, 09 March 2024 will be considered "withdrawal" of all games for that team.
