Doubles Competition

A casual, fun tournament for players age 50+, as of 12/31/2024. This is a non-sanctioned tournament subject to USAPA rules with modifications. PLAYERS MUST HAVE AN ACCOUNT ON PICKLEBALLBRACKETS.COM TO PARTICIPATE. If you do not currently have an account on pickleballbrackets.com, you can create one free of charge on that website.

Schedule:

October 21-23, 2024 (Monday - Wednesday)

Check in 8am - all participants

Men's doubles - Monday, 9am start

Mixed doubles - Tuesday, 9am start

Women's doubles - Wednesday, 9am start

(NOTE: slight schedule modifications may occur based on registration levels)

Brackets:

Brackets will be based on skill level 3.0 - 5.0 (primary, with the pair playing at level of the higher rated player) and age in 5-year age brackets (secondary, with the pair playing in the younger aged player's age group). The tournament director will retain the option of combining age groups if necessary based on registrations, but skill brackets will not be combined.

All brackets will be round robin format with matches consisting of single games to 15 win by 2, or best 2-of-3 to 11 win by 2, at the discretion of the tournament director. Large brackets may be broken into pools at the discretion of the tournament director, with single-elimination playoff of pool winners to determine final medals.

Medals:

Gold, Silver, Bronze Awarded to All Age Groups Within Each Bracket

Sport Fee:

$30 Registration, $25 Event Fee, $5 Fusesport Fee. If you participated in the MSG 2024 Spring Season, in ANY EVENT, and paid the $30 Registration Fee, you will NOT be charged the Registration Fee for participating in any/all of the MSG 2024 Fall Season events!

Registration Fee and Event Fee will be refunded for any withdrawals up until 48 hours prior to the tournament start (0900, 19 October 2024, at which point all brackets will be "built"). The Fusesport Fee will not be refunded, as this is a "pass-through" fee that MSG has no control over.

Withdrawals after 0900, 19 October 2024 will be considered "withdrawal" of all games for that team.

As was the case with our MSG 2024 Spring Pickleball Tournament, weather can be a factor! If cancellation or postponement is necessary, all players will be notified by EMAIL. We do NOT have the ability to send a text to every player affected by a weather event. Please monitor your email account if you even think there is a possibility of a weather delay/cancellation.
