Welcome to the Minnesota Pickleball - State Qualifier!

Minnesota Pickleball in partnership with the Minnesota Parks and Recreation Association are the official sanctioning entities for state level pickleball in Minnesota. All participants of a 2025 state qualifier are considered sanctioned for the 2025 season and are eligible for the state tournament.

The 2025 Minnesota sanctioned state tournament will be held in Maple Grove, September 11-14 for the 2025 season. In order to secure a spot in a division, participants must place in one of the state qualifiers. All participants that receive 1st, 2nd, or 3rd in a state qualifier, have their spot reserved in the division that they qualified in. You DO NOT necessarily need to play with the partner you qualified with. Anyone placing in a qualifier will have their own spot reserved, and can play in the state tournament with that partner or another partner. If their partner did not participate in a state qualifier, they will be subject to the $35 sanction fee for the 2025 season.

All participants in a state qualifier are considered sanctioned and can register for the state tournament when spots are available. If you do not place in a state qualifier, but participate and complete the tournament, you are eligible to register when the qualified player registration window has closed. You are only sanctioned to play in the division you participated in at a state qualifier. If your partner did not participate in a qualifying sanctioned tournament, they can still participate, but they would need to pay the additional sanctioning fee of $35.

Once all qualified players register, and all sanctioned players register, there will be a small window for non-qualified, and un-sanctioned players to register if spots remain. All of these spots will also be subject to the $35 sanctioning fee if they did not participate in a sanctioned tournament.

Only 12 spots are offered in each division.

Each divisions has 2 state qualifiers scheduled.

Refreshments:

Light snacks and water will be provided while supplies last. Water filling station located a short walk from courts. Players may bring their own water and snacks, but no alcohol is permitted on public courts.

Registration:

Both partners must be registered and paid within 5 days of each other or the team will be placed on the waitlist to allow room for other teams to register. This process is automated and cannot be controlled by the tournament director.

Refunds will be issued up until 6/1/2025. After that date, refunds can not be issued.

All registrations have to a $5 registration fee from pickleballbrackets.com and can not be recouped. The tournament management software company keeps the $5 registration fee regardless of player participation. That is a non-refundable registration fee that pickleballbrackets.com. Minnesota Pickleball will refund 100% of the tournament fee, less the non-refundable software fee.
