This will be an outdoor tournament with the backup option of indoor play in case of inclement weather.
We have 4 outdoor courts inside a tennis enclosure with temporary nets and wind barriers. There are pickleball lines painted as well as tennis court lines. There is an additional dedicated pickleball court outside of the enclosure that may also be used on mixed doubles day to expedite play. There is also a practice court available. The courts are not equipped with lights, but we have always been able to complete the tournament in past years using available natural light.
In the event of inclement weather, you will be notified of changes to your schedule because we only have 3 courts available inside the gym.
Even if your bracket is full, add yourself to the waiting list. The bracket with the highest demand each day will be increased in size. Also there are often last minute drop outs.
The format will be round robin games to 11 with larger brackets divided into two pools. At the conclusion of the round robin, the top 4 teams will go on to play in an elimination round to determine the medal winners.
In order to maximize the experience for as many players as possible, the organizers reserve the right to modify the size of brackets and the pool format. You will be guaranteed a minimum of 3 games, and you will be informed of any changes in format before the start of play.
IMPORTANT: You must register before December 20 to be guaranteed a shirt in the size of your choosing.
A portion of your entry fee will benefit the Columbia County youth sports program.
