This tournament is US Senior Pickleball approved.

Typical formats

3 teams - double round robin (1-15 w/2) + playoffs

4 teams - round robin (2 out of 3 to 11 w/2) + playoffs

5 to 7 teams - round robin (1-15 w/2) + playoffs

8 to 9 teams - round robin (1-11 w/2) + playoffs OR Split into two pools

More than ten teams - Split into pools using the below standards

When the top two teams move forward to the playoffs, it will be 1 vs 4 and 2 vs 3. Winners then play for Gold and Losers play for Bronze. All games 1 to 15win by 2 except the GOLD match is usually 2 out of 3 to 11 w/2

This tournament does NOT use DUPR or UTPR ratings for registration, but rather the skill level players put in their PickleballTournaments.com profile. If you have a different UTPR rating for mixed and gender doubles, please be sure to indicate your LOWEST rating in your PickleballTournaments.com player skill profile. Remember you can always play UP in skill.

We ask that all players respect the integrity of the game and of each event by entering at their most accurate skill level.

USSP has a points system to award prizes to the top finishers each year. In the past, prizes with a retail value of $20,000 were awarded to the top 10-point winners in each age group for both men and women on an annual cycle. In 2023, the prize points will begin in January and run through the end of December.
