JOOLA FIFTH ANNUAL VIRGINIA PICKLEBALL CLASSIC May 18-21, 2023.

In order to get the shirts in time, we placed the order on May 2. Any registrations after May 2 might not get a shirt or the size that you want.

We will be using the JOOLA ball for the 3.0 and wheel chair divisions. We will be using the Dura-40 for all other divisions.

$45 Registration Fee, $10 Referee Fee, $5 Volunteer Fee for a total of $60.

We are a non-profit 501(c)3 and all of the monies raised goes back into Virginia Pickleball.

All matches will have referees to the extent that referees are available.

There are two locations for this tournament: Pouncey Tract in Short Pump and CTC in Chesterfield.

Wheelchair Division:

The wheelchair division will take place at 5pm on Friday at Pouncey Tract. Please be there by 4:30 to check in. Only $10 per participant. If you know your partner, let us know otherwise we will pair you up. Swag Bag included (t-shirt , medals, pins, free Sweet Frog Yogurt!) Format

Winners Bracket

This tournament will be double elimination, 2 out of 3 to 11 win by 2 in the winners bracket.

Losers Bracket / Opportunity Bracket

One game to 15 win by 2 in the loser bracket. Keep winning or this event is over....

Losers bracket can win all the way back to the Gold!

Smaller brackets may be moved to a round robin. The tournament briefing will notify you should that change be made along with the scoring changes if any.

Changes may be made as necessary to any/all brackets at the discretion of the tournament director up to the start of play of each bracket.

No refunds for any reason after the CANCELLATION DEADLINE!

If you withdraw before CANCELLATION DEADLINE ABOVE, you will be issued a refund (with a $15 processing fee deducted)

INCLEMENT WEATHER POLICY - This is an outdoor tournament. If weather is a factor, we will do all we can to play all matches. There are no refunds. We will offer a make up day if possible or offer an event credit for that specific event. If this is your only event, then you will receive a credit for the entire event less the $15 cost of the swag bag whether you choose to receive it or not. There are no indoor backup plans for this tournament.

All entry fees less fees from Pickleball Brackets go back to the prize pool for the Open division. Each division is accounted for separately and the money from that division is paid to the Gold, Silver and Bronze winners either with a check or online through Paypal. There will be a minimum number required for each open bracket of 5 teams.

Gold = 50%

Silver = 30%

Bronze = 20%
