OFFICIATING MATCHES: We will endeavour to have all matches officiated at this unsanctioned event.

REGISTRATION REQUIREMENTS

Current membership with Pickleball Canada is required for this tournament

All registrations must be processed through Pickleball Brackets (www.pickleballbrackets.com).

Registrants must create a Pickleball Brackets account if they do not already have one. Creating an account is free and easy and must be completed prior to tournament registration dates.

IMPORTANT: A registration is considered complete only when both team members have registered and paid their fees. If one partner has not completed registration within 5 days, the team will be placed on the WAITLIST.

*Due to the high volume of simultaneous registrations during the initial opening of registrations, there is a possibility that a team with one paid member may be placed on the waitlist before the 5-day window expires. We recommend completing both team members' registrations and payments as quickly as possible to avoid this situation and ensure your spot in the tournament.

NEW THIS YEAR:

*The format has changed from Double Elimination to Round Robin.

*Age brackets have been added

AGE BRACKETS:

*18-59 yrs & 60+ yrs

*Age is determined as of December 31, 2025.

*An older player may play in a younger age group. A younger player may not play in an older age group.

SKILL LEVELS:

3.0, 3.5, 4.0+

Players cannot play down a level; you must compete at your current rating or higher.

MATCH FORMAT

Round Robin: Matches are 1 game to 11, win by 2

Medal Rounds:

Bronze Medal: 1 game to 15, win by 2

Silver/Gold Medal: Best 2 out of 3 games, win by 2.

YOUR RATING

Skill levels are determined by your DUPR rating at the time of registration. If you do not have a DUPR rating, you must 'Self Rate'

DISCLAIMER:

If you are using a self-rating, the Tournament Director reserves the right to reassign you to a different skill level if deemed unsuitable.

The Tournament Director may also combine or change age categories or alter the format based on the number of registrations received.

DUPR MATCH REPORTING

Results will be immediately sent to players DUPR accounts once the scores are recorded. Setting up a DUPR account is free and done at www.dupr.com.

EQUIPMENT & CLOTHING

Paddles: Must be USAPA approved. Check the approved paddle list at: https://equipment.usapickleball.org/paddle-list/.

Protective Eyewear: Strongly encouraged

Clothing & Paddles: Players wearing clothing or using a paddle the same colour as the ball may be asked to change by the Tournament Director. Neon colours not allowed

Registrants withdrawing before June 6, 2025 will receive a refund of event fees LESS any PBB service fees paid.

THERE WILL BE NO REFUNDS ON OR AFTER JUNE 6, 2025

*Waitlisted registrants that have paid their fees will receive a refund of event fees LESS any PBB service fees paid.

INCLEMENT WEATHER POLICY: We will make every effort to play all scheduled matches/games. This is an outdoor tournament and weather is a risk. No refunds will be issued in the event of a cancellation due to weather.

COVID PROTOCOLS: we ask you follow the recent PHO orders and do not participate in the tournament if you are feeling sick or unwell on the day of your event. We will work with you to try and find a player to replace you in your event.
