Tournament Description
Aloha and welcome to the Hawaiian Cup 2025!
Come experience the Big Island of Hawai’i, the spirit of Aloha, and the best pickleball facility in the state!
FORMAT:
Round robin tournament, including a single elimination playoff bracket for Gold, Silver and Bronze in each division.
All players are guaranteed a minimum of 4 matches.

Round robin brackets or pools with 5 or 6 teams will play single games to 15, win by 1. Brackets or pools with 7 or 8 teams will play single games to 11, win by 1. Bronze medal match will be one game to 15, win by 2. Gold medal match will be best two out of three to 11, win by 2.
Pro and senior pro playoff games for Medals will be best two out of three to 11, win by 2.
Sunday January 19th

(This day is also a make up day for any event that gets rained out)
Events are organized such that players can potentially sign up for a total of 4 events.
Example: A player entered in 3.5 gender and mixed could also enter into 4.0 gender and mixed as they are on separate days.

The Hawaiian Cup will be following all USAPA rules.

Refund Policy
January 1st, 2025 - CANCELLATION DEADLINE
(for refunds minus a $25 withdrawal fee)
No refunds for any reason after the cancellation deadline above.
If you withdrawal prior to the deadline above, a full refund will be issued minus a $25 processing fee.
Prize Money
Open Pro - $5,400 Spread equally over the three Open Pro brackets (Open Mens, Open Womens, and Open Mixed). Each of these three brackets will payout as follows:
- First Place Team Shares $900
- Second Place Team Shares $600
- Third Place Team shares $300
Open Sr. Pro - $4,500 Spread equally over the three Open Pro brackets (Sr. Open Mens, Sr. Open Womens, and Sr. Open Mixed). Each of these three brackets will payout as follows:
- First Place Team Shares $750
- Second Place Team Shares $500
- Third Place Team shares $250

Parking Information
Parking Fee: No Fee
Upper level parking is available on the roof of the parking lot.Parking underground is restricted for Holua Resort guests only and must have a parking pass. Absolutely no parking in front of the guest check in building.
Street parking on Kaleiopapa is shared with the farmer's market on some days, and the businesses that operate out of the bay. We want to treat our neighbors with respect as well, so we are hoping not to overwhelm the street parking out on Kaleiopapa.
We are encouraging people to:
1) Stay On Property at the Holua Resort, or Stay Next Door at the Outrigger (walking distance 10 minute walk)
2) Uber or Taxi to the venue . This will be a much easier way to arrive and depart.
3)Arrange for you to be dropped off or picked up.
4) Ride your bike. The most Aloha way to arrive!
5) Car Pool. If you must drive, please be considerate and try to car-pool to the event.
Please budget travel time accordingly so you arrive in plenty of time to check in and be ready for your bracket..

Weather
Inclement Weather Policy
This is an outdoor event. If weather or any other unforeseen circumstance occurs, we will do all we can to play matches. Our options include running events with fewer games or points per game, scheduling make-up play for later the same day (including into the evening hours), and utilizing Holua or other nearby courts to make-up matches on later days. We have built into our schedule a weather make-up day on Sunday 1/19 as a buffer for these scenarios.
If brackets are in mid play when a weather or unforeseen circumstance occurs the situation will be evaluated on a case by case basis to determine if the bracket may be finished or if winners may be determined.
If your event gets rained out without the possibility of making it up on other days, you will receive a full refund minus $35 for administrative costs..
