Welcome to the Georgia Mountain Pickleball Club Spring Classic 2025 Tournament, held in the charming town of Hiawassee, Ga. The tournament will be at the Towns County Pickleball Complex, a dedicated 14-court state-of-the-art facility situated on Lake Chatuge with beautiful mountain views as a backdrop.

Also happening the same weekend is Memory Lane Classic Car Show at the Georgia Mountain Fairgrounds, So why not make it a weekend to spend in the North Georgia Mountains and enjoy our wonderful community.

ONLY REGISTRATIONS COMPLETED BY March 28th, WILL RECEIVE A FREE T-SHIRT. There will be no size exchange from the size requested in registration. Shirts will be available for sale.

REGISTRATION:

You may register and identify your partner or request "Need partner". If you register with 'need a partner', then you are responsible for finding your partner.

If you have not identified your partner or your partner has not registered within five days of your registration, your registration or the team will be moved to the wait list. Your spot in the main event will NOT be saved. Once you and your partner have registered and paid, and the event has not reached capacity, you will move from the wait list back to the active list. IF THE ACTIVE LIST has reached capacity you will remain on the wait list.

NOTE: You must register individually, not as a team. Your spot in the tournament is not guaranteed until your partner has registered and all fees have been paid in full.

The schedule is as follows:

Friday April 25, 2025 Women's Doubles

Saturday April 26 , 2025 Mixed Doubles

Sunday April 27, 2025 Men's Doubles.

Specific start times for each event will be posted and players notified via text and email 3 days prior to the event. Your team will compete against every other team in your bracket.

When registering, please elect to receive text and emails. We are going to use both methods to communicate tournament information. Keep your phone accessible throughout the tournament.

Format is Round Robin. Guaranteed 4 games.

Ratings: DUPR followed by Self-Rating

Skills levels include 3.0, 3.5, 4.0, 4.5+

Age groups are 29 and Under, 30+, 40+, 50+, 60+, 70+

A team must play at the skill level of the higher rated player (or higher) and the age group of the younger player. Age is calculated as of 12/31/2025.

Matches are self-monitored. A referee will be onsite during play, and if requested, can be available to monitor specific games.

TOURNAMENT DIRECTOR'S DISCRETION -

-As registration proceeds, tournament management reserves the option to merge, split or add brackets

as needed with the intent of keeping brackets at a maximum of 7-8 teams. Brackets will be created

based on skill or age in order to provide the best overall playing experience.

-Tournament management reserves the right to review and possibly move players or teams between

events if they are self-rated or have entered the wrong event.

-Tournament management reserves the right to change bracket format as needed.

Cancellation/Refund Policy

Withdrawal deadline is April 4th, 2025. Withdrawals prior to that date are subject to a $10 NON-REFUNDABLE Administration Fee.

No Refunds, for any reason, after the Registration deadline; April 4th, 2025.

The tournament has a No Refund policy due to weather.

All refunds will be issued 7-10 days following the completion of the tournament.

Inclement Weather Policy

This is an outdoor tournament. In the event of inclement weather, we will do what we can to provide a safe, playable surface. If brackets are in mid-play when a weather circumstance occurs the situation will be evaluated to determine if the bracket may finish or if winners can be determined.

In any case, there are NO refunds, credits or make up days, if the tournament is impacted by weather.

There is no indoor backup plan for this tournament.

There will be medical services available on site by Union General Health System.

Water and snacks will be provided for players at the Hospitality Tent.
