Tournament Description
Welcome to the 7th annual DRIVE DROP & DINK, March 17-19, 2023 at the Wilson Family Y in Augusta GA! All proceeds from this event support our Annual Campaign. Many programs at the Y would not be possible without support raised during our Annual Campaign season. (See more info below.)
SCHEDULE:
Friday, March 17th, Women's Doubles, Men's Singles
Saturday, March 18th, Mixed Doubles, Coed Novice Scramble
Sunday, March 18th, Men's Doubles, Women's Singles
FORMAT: The format for the tournament is round robin with timed games. Players in brackets of 7 teams will play 6 matches, one match against each time in the bracket. Each match will be one game to 11 MINUTES! Court rotation is scheduled prior to the start of your bracket. No waiting or wondering when or where your next match is! Start and end times of each bracket are known in advance!
REGISTRATION: You may register and identify your partner or select "Need Partner". You and your partner must register and pay within five days of your registration, or your team will be moved to the wait list. NOTE Your spot in the tournament is not guaranteed until you and your partner have both registered and all fees have been paid. Depending on registration, brackets may be combined or adjusted as needed.
Additional Information
** All start times (to be posted later) are subject to change and brackets might be adjusted or combined based on event registration.
** If you (and your partner) are registered and paid by 2/28, you will receive a shirt (included in registration fee).
** Registration deadline is March 9th, 11:45PM.
Refund Policy
Withdrawal deadline is March 3rd. No refunds for any reason after that date. Withdrawals prior to the date are subject to a $15 fee. DRIVE DROP & DINK proceeds directly support the Y's Annual Campaign. Examples of programs that benefit from the tournament include:
LIVESTRONG - 12-week, small group exercise program available free to all cancer survivors.
SAFETY AROUND WATER - Brings every 2nd grader in Richmond County schools to the Y to learn skills critical to water safety.
A PLACE TO DREAM - Provides beds (& bedding, teddy bear, Bible) to any child that needs one.
