Tournament Description
***General Registration and payments will be re-opened tomorrow at Noon October1, 2021 **
****HOWEVER - we are forced to comply with the Bob Snodgrass Rec Center's new RESTRICTIONS****
1. ALL PLAYERS,VOLUNTEERS, AND GUESTS MUST wear masks when not on the courts
2. ALL PLAYERS,VOLUNTEERS, AND GUESTS MUST PROVIDE PROOF OF VACCINE AT THE ENTRY DOOR
3. ALL Participants must be fully vaccinated to play.
4. DO NOT register if you do not wish to follow the restrictions - we don't want to get shutdown for non-compliance. There will be NO REFUNDS for non-compliance.
- We are profoundly disappointed by the latest restrictions, but still want to provide a fun event for everyone.
The BurnWood Paddles UP 2021 tournament, sponsored by Burnwood Distributing and Jigsaw Health.
It will provide Skill (and Age) based competition and be played indoor on 9 courts over 3 days. The tournament director reserves the right to modify the events, and schedule as needed, including other outside influences beyond our control, (Covid restrictions). This tournament that will use the current IFP rules.
• Events will be double elimination with each match being best 2 out of 3 games to 11 on the “A” side of the draw. On the “B” side of the draw Most matches will consist of one game to 15. Players are guaranteed three games.
• The minimum bracket size is six teams.
• Medals will be awarded to the top three teams in each (combined) bracket.

• Pre-registration MAY BE available for Volunteers or Sponsors on September 14 at Noon MST provided 2 volunteer shifts are confirmed.

. A registration is considered complete when the Team is complete, BOTH players must register within 5 days of the first player's registration, OR the team will be move to the WaitList.
***YOUR PLAYER PROFILE- should have Receive in game text messages checked to YES, should be selected. This is how you will receive your game notifications and court assignments. FAILURE TO SHOW UP ON TIME FOR YOUR GAMES WILL RESULT IN A FORFEIT***
• All participants must be members of Pickleball Canada.
• Enter as a team or look under 'Players Needing Partners' to find a partner
• If the partner hasn't completed their registration within five days of the first partner registering, the team will be automatically moved to the Wait List. When the identified partner registers after the five day grace period, the team will automatically move from the Wait List back to the active list if there is a slot available.
• In the case of wait lists, in doubles events - teams will take priority over individuals. Our goal is to accommodate as many people as the schedule will allow - but at the same time have a well-rounded tournament with representation from all skill levels.
• The current International Federation of Pickleball rules will apply.
• Level 1 Referees will be compensated $5 per match; Level 2 Referees $7 per match; Certified Referees $10 per match. Volunteer referees with the appropriate training are also encouraged to referee, space permitting.
• Participants are required to enter at the highest of their current Pickleball Brackets skill rating or UTPR as of the date of registration. If you are not rated, consult with other players and visit the Pickleball Canada website for ratings information.
• Age brackets will be combined if the number of entries does not support separating brackets by age.
• Medals will be awarded to the top three teams in each (combined) bracket.
• The tournament committee reserves the right to place players in their appropriate skill level category and to combine brackets based on registrations.
Refund Policy
Player requested withdrawals will be accepted until October 15, 2021 with a full refund less a $10 administration fee.
After October 15, no refunds will be provided.
If we have to cancel due to Covid complications - refunds will be provided.
