Brisbane Grand Slam

Any member of Pickleball Australia can enter.

This is a Pickleball Australia SANCTIONED tournament.

This tournament will use the current USA Pickleball (USAPA) rules. They can be found at: https://usapickleball.org/what-is-pickleball/official-rules/

The schedule of events will be:

Thursday April 18 Coaching clinics / Come and try

Saturday April 19 Men's Doubles, Women's Doubles

Sunday April 20 Mixed Doubles

Monday April 21 Singles/Skinny singles

Registration is $70 which includes entry into one event. Each additional event costs $30. Players can enter a maximum of 4 events

REGISTRATION

Registration Closes: 10th April 2025 @ 11.55pm or earlier if capacity is reached.

- To register you will need to create a free Pickleball Brackets login and profile. Profile must contain your contact number, email & PAA ID number.

- You may enter in one gender, one mixed, one Singles and one Skinny singles event

Brisbane Venue - Shaw Park Tennis Centre

All events will have qualifying games in round robin format and then semis and finals.

Games will be to 11 or 15 points win by 2 in round-robin events depending on pool size

Semi finals will be 1 game to 15 win by 2. Or best of 3 games to 11 win by 2 if time allows.

Medal matches will be best of 3 games to 11 win by 2.

This tournament uses DUPR to determine player rankings

PLEASE NOTE:

Doubles - you must sign up at the skill level of the higher-rated partner.

Age events - one player MUST be eligible for the event. eg: A team entering 19+ MUST have one player aged between 19-34.

Juniors wanting to enter can do so in the 19+ categories by contacting the tournament directly.

All players will be guaranteed a minimum of 3 games per event.

X40 Franklin balls will be used for our outdoor courts.

It is a condition of entry that all attendees understand that they may be photographed or filmed at the event and that these images may be stored and used by PBTA or our sponsors on websites, social media and other purposes without express permission or payment.

DIRECTOR'S DISCRETION

The tournament director reserves the right to:

- review, and possibly alter the rating of players who self-rate below or above their actual ability.

- move players and teams between skill level brackets if on verification the wrong event has been entered.

- merge or split brackets based on event registration. Any event with fewer than 4 entries will be combined with another event of closest possible standard.

- change start times to facilitate smooth running of the tournament

- The tournament director reserves the right to modify the events and/or schedule as needed pending influences beyond our control (ie. Fire drill, weather delays etc).

Full refunds minus stripe and pickleball brackets fees will be provided to players who withdraw for any reason prior to the close of registrations

Once Registration is closed No refunds given unless a medical certificate supplied

No refunds from 7 Days prior to tournament

As this is an outdoor tournament, if cancelled due to weather, no refund is expected

Assist Medics will be on site for the duration of the tournament located near the tournament desk
