Pickleball518 is hosting an evening "Back to the Future" Mixed Doubles tournament at Sportime Schenectady.

This is Sportime's first pickleball tournament following an April fire that caused significant damage. Reconstruction from the fire also means that Sportime has the opportunity to go back in time and re-envision its pickleball future.

The tournament will be a round-robin with a 7-game minimum (7 games!!) Medals will be awarded. There will be a maximum of 8 teams in each division.

Teams are considered registered when BOTH team members complete the following:

1) Register and pay for the tournament through Pickleball Brackets

2) Join Pickleball518's DUPR club at https://mydupr.com/dashboard/club/8353571559/info

If there is a ghost next to a team member's name on Pickleball Brackets, your team is not registered.

If a teammate does not register on Pickleball Brackets within three days of the first player, then the first player will be placed on a waiting list automatically. Once the second team member registers and pays, the team will be moved into the tournament if there is still slots available.

The results of all matches will be entered into Pickleball Brackets and DUPR.

The tournament has advanced and intermediate divisions. The tournament director reserves the right to move teams between divisions or merge divisions based on sign-ups.

The advanced division is for strong 3.5 players and above.

The intermediate division will start at 4:30 p.m. and the advanced division will play after. Advanced players should be at the venue and ready to play by 6:30 p.m.

The venue closes at 10 p.m.

The tournament entry fee is $30 ($25 registration fee + a $5 Pickleball Brackets fee)

Drinks and light snacks will be available.

Refunds of $25 will given for teams that withdraw by May 27.
