**DEVELOPING AMERICA'S NEXT CHAMPIONS** - The APP / Chicken N Pickle “Next Gen Series” is the first of its kind for both young adult men's and women’s pickleball player development. The focus for our series events is to create a platform that can have our top American pickleball players compete and be educated through our senior pro mentoring program, to prepare them to represent the United States in future international and APP Tour professional competitions. OPEN EVENTS - Players with a 4.0 USAP UTPR or higher in gender/mixed/singles will be eligible to compete in ALL OPEN events for this tournament. If you have a USAP UTPR of 4.0 in ONE event, you are eligible for all events. If you have one event that meets 4.0 skill level and other events that don't meet the minimum 4.0 requirement - please email pballtourney@gmail.com for further assistance.

If you wish to play, but NO events are 4.0 USAP UTPR or higher, you will need to request a WILDCARD entry into the tournament. Email Ken Herrmann at ken@apptour.org - state you name, city and state, describe your pickleball journey and future goals along with any previous sports background so Ken can bring it to the APP Next Gen Committee for review of acceptance.

No individual payouts per event, but rather on the results of the cumulative lists. An overall cumulative standings list will be kept with the top five overall winners receiving payouts and medals. *The top two overall male and female finishers over the three days of events will receive paid wildcards into any desired pro draws at a FUTURE APP Tournament and have one match featured on the APPTV Pro livestream

All players will be encouraged to play all three events as this is the best way to secure overall points on the cumulative standings lists.

Players are responsible for finding partners- view the Players are responsible for finding partners.

If a player is not able to play on any day, no pro rating of fees is allowed. The player will receive zero points for that day’s results.

SENIOR PRO PLAYER DEVELOPMENT PROGRAM - will include round robin play for those players who are eliminated in two matches from bracket play for the day.

Every player must have a current USAP Membership and this number MUST be included in your player profile. Your membership must be active through the last day of the tournament, if not, you will not be allowed to register.

Cancellation Policy

Withdrawals before June 7, 2023 will receive a refund minus a $25 cancellation fee.

CANCELLATION DEADLINE - June 7, 2023

No refunds or credits for any reason after the CANCELLATION DEADLINE ABOVE unless the Registration & Weather Insurance Policy has been purchased prior to the CANCELLATION DEADLINE ABOVE.

INCLEMENT WEATHER POLICY

APP events are outdoor events. If weather or any other unforeseen circumstance occurs the APP will do all it can to play matches. If brackets are in mid play when a weather or unforeseen circumstance occurs the situation will be evaluated on a case by case basis to determine if the bracket may be finished or if winners may be determined

REGISTRATION & WEATHER INSURANCE POLICY

If you withdraw before CANCELLATION DEADLINE ABOVE, you will be issued a refund minus $25 withdrawal fee without the need to purchase Registration Insurance.

During registration you may choose to purchase the Registration & Weather Insurance in the event you have to cancel out of the event after CANCELLATION DEADLINE ABOVE. See the policy for specific coverage details.
