Welcome to the 9th Annual Nanaimo Pickleball Club indoor pickleball tournament.

TOURNAMENT DATES: Saturday, July 15, 2023 - Sunday, July 16, 2023

ADDRESS: Oliver Woods Community Centre - 6000 Oliver Road, Nanaimo

EVENT FORMAT: Round robin pools feeding into double elimination draw. Event brackets will be:

Men’s and Women’s Doubles 

3.0, 3.5, 4.0, 4.5+ on Saturday, July 15, 2023.

Start times:

Mens 3.0 and 3.5: 8:30 am

Mens 4.5: 9:30 am

Mens 4.0: 12:30 pm

Womens 3.5: 8:30 am

Womens 4.5: 10:00 am

Womens 3.0 and 4.0: 12:00 pm

Mixed Doubles 

3.0, 3.5, 4.0, 4.5+ on Sunday, July 16, 2023.

Start times:

Mixed 3.5 and 4.0: 8:30 am

Mixed 3.0 and 4.5: 12:00 pm

Registration Opens: June 1, 2023 at 6:00 PM

Registration Closed: July 5, 2023 at 6:00PM

REGISTRATION DETAILS

NOTE: All Registration is through Pickleball Brackets (www.pickleballbrackets.com) and all registrants will need to create an account on the Pickleball Brackets website if you do not have one. It is free and easy to complete prior to tournament registration dates.

Registration Fees: $50.00 (includes lunch and healthy snacks) plus $5.00 per event

An online waiver will need to be signed during registration.

Online payment via Stripe. Please note: Stripe allows credit card payments, you do not have to have a Stripe account.

Registration is not complete until BOTH partners have registered (Partner has 1 day to register), agreed to the tournament waiver, and paid all fees owing. Registration is limited in each event and teams will be added off the waitlist once entries are in.

We will be using the Onix Fuse Indoor Pickleball.

There are NO warm up courts when play begins so you are encouraged to use outdoor space if necessary.

Once the tournament starts, there will only be a 2 minute warm up time before your match on the competition courts.

Plan to arrive at the venue 30 minutes prior to the start of your event to check in. We will start events early if courts are available.

When the maximum per event is reached based on fully registered/paid teams, others will be added to the waitlist and we will readjust numbers to add teams to events depending on overall event numbers. In the case of waitlists, teams will take priority over individuals.

Mixed Doubles (3.0, 3.5, 4.0, 4.5+)

Mens Doubles 3.0/3.5 & 4.0 & 4.5

Sunday - Mixed Doubles 3.5 & 4.0

3.0 & 4.5+

Registration for skill level is based on the players:

1st Choice - Pickleball Brackets Rating

2nd Choice - Club Rating

3rd Choice - Self Rating

Refund Policy

Registrants withdrawing before July 1st @ 6pm will be refunded entry fee minus a $15.00 administration fee. NO refunds after July 1st, 6.01pm for player cancellations / withdrawals. You will have to find your own replacement.
