Tournament Description

Each year the Dublin Pickleball Association (DPA) and its members and sponsors, and Dublin-Laurens County Recreation Authority (DLCRA), host a charitable event to support a worthy non-profit in Central Georgia. This year all proceeds will go to the non-proifit Wings. WINGS is a state-certified family violence program that provides a range of services, including a twenty-four hour crisis line, emergency shelter, legal advocacy, weekly support groups, and monthly family activities for our primarily rural seven-county service area (Laurens, Bleckley, Dodge, Johnson, Telfair, Wilcox, Wilkinson). "Welcome to the 5th Annual Shamrock Smash. This tournament is played at the Southern Pines Pickleball Facility in Dublin, GA.
The schedule is as follows:
Saturday April 5th - Men's & Women's Doubles
Sunday April 6th- Mixed Doubles.
Competition each day will begin as early as 8:00 AM. Specific start times for each event will be posted and emailed to players approximately one week prior to the event.
The registration cost is $60 and includes all events. Last day to register and be guaranteed a FREE tournament Shirt is March 23rd, 11:55pm.
As registration proceeds, tournament management reserves the option to combine brackets as needed if brackets do not fill. If brackets are combined to create playable brackets, awards will be based on the original bracket a player signed up for. Tournament management also reserves the right to convert brackets to double elimination if necessary.
Skills levels include 3.0, 3.5, 4.0+.
Age groups are split after registration closes.
A team must play at the skill level of the higher rated player (or higher) and the age group of the younger player. Age is calculated as of 12/31/2025.
RATINGS
- DUPR ratings will be used.
- Tournament Director reserves the right to move a player to a higher/lower level at their discretion

You may register and identify your partner or request ""Need partner"". Your partner must register within five days of your registration or the team will be moved to the wait list. When the identified partner registers after the five day grace period, the team will automatically move from the wait list back to the active list if there is a slot available and both teams have paid. NOTE: Your spot in the tournament is not guaranteed until your partner has registered and all fees have been paid in full.
There are no referees. Matches are self-monitored. If a referee is requested, we will do our best to provide one.

Additional Information

On March 17th, the tournament staff will move players whose DUPR ratings have changed since registering for this tournament. Players with DUPR reliability rating of 50% or lower may appeal their current rating after registering.
The Southern Pickleball Association adheres to the guidelines set forth in the USA Pickleball Rulebook. All gameplay, officiating, and judgment decisions during our events are based on these rules to ensure consistency and fairness for all players.
We encourage all participants to familiarize themselves with the USA Pickleball Rulebook to understand the standards and expectations that govern our games. In addition, the Southern Pickleball Association allows paddles that are on the official USA Pickleball paddle list. It is the player's responsibility to make sure their paddle is currently approved by USA Pickleball for tournament play. https://equipment.usapickleball.org/paddle-list/

Refund Policy

This is an outdoor tournament and there are no weather-related refunds. The last day to withdraw and receive a refund is March 16. Cancellations prior to that date are subject to a $15 administration fee. Your spot in the tournament is not guaranteed until your partner has registered and all fees have been paid in full.
Southern Pickleball offers tournament insurance to players. Tournament insurance covers weather related cancelations, withdrawal due to injury or family emergency. If all events are missed, a player purchasing tournament insurance will be refunded 100 percent of their registration & event fees. If a player plays in an event and other events are missed, the player will be refunded the event fee for the canceled event.
A player's registration is non-transferable.
Players who do not show up for their event and fail to notify the tournament director prior OR leave the event without notifying the tournament director after it has started are subject to a $25 fine. The fine must be paid before registering for any other Southern Pickleball events.
